    2.4A & P4P800 Deluxe limited oc

Hey guys, well I bought a 2.4A and Abt AI7 a month or so back to find out the AI7 doesn't like Prescotts (PWM problems). So I recently got a free P4P800 Deluxe from my dad that was spare. I got the Press in the P4P right now w/ a SP-94 and TT Smart Fan II and temps are somewhat normal. I'm hitting this wall though at Exactly 3.2Ghz. I know this board has the vcore fluctuation and needs a droop mod, and I am fully capable of doing it, but do you think that is what's limiting the oc? I have raised and raised the vcore all the way up to 1.52 and it still doesn't help much.. Under load the vcore sinks usually .5v down and the problem I have at 3.2Ghz is it immediatly just reboots which sounds like the vcore to me. Any suggestions are appreciated

OCZ PC3200 Platinum, It's not the problem.. I have many other sticks of ram to throw in and get the same results. The bus is only at 176Mhz as I speak. Vdimm is at 2.85v also.

    Other specs incase your curious:

    Vantec Stealth 520Watt

Other ram is 4 different sticks of Samsung PC3200 capable of 220Mhz

first off crank the vcore all the way up to 1.6v

the droop mod will help ...it gained me around 200 mhz (but under phase change ...the difference is bigger, at least for me).

otherwise, thats just the max of ur CPU.

I tried it up around there (not even at 1.6v) and it was idling at like 63C. So, I don't know. The SP-94 and TT smartfan II aren't cutting it I guess. I am, however, getting a P4 top for my DD RBX waterblock so I can hook my watercooling up to it, maybe that will help some.

    Idling at 63°C??
Is that on the P4P800? Looks like the temps are way off. I thought the ASUS read temps much lower than that.

    I have a Celeron D 330 on my IC7-G, running 3.6Ghz, 1.45V, Prime stable.
Idle temps are around 48-49°C, full load around 63-64°C, which seem normal for a Pres-hot core.

    Maybe stupid question :
Is your memory running at 1:1 (266Mhz) and not at 4:5 (333Mhz)? Sounds silly but you never know.

Yes, 1:1 I don't know, seems like all my Pressys (have a 2.8E too) run way hot, even on different boards with SP-94. I'm fairly sure it's on there well and making good contact, I have a nice thin layer of AS5 in between.
