    how to unlock extra 128kb cache on duron?

    i have found a guid to how i unlock the extra 128kb cache on a applebred duron but now i wonder if it only work fore some steppings or if every stepping tex after 0401 is locked so i cant do it?

    I will be willing to test it on a 0407 duron 1.8ghz applebred later today. I will also post some results and pics of CPU-Z if it works.

    what don't you unterstand? There are the pictures shown how toi close/open the bridges.
    Easily close the last l2 bridge und you'll habe a AthlonXp

    a duron has got 64kb l2 cache not 128, so you can get 192 more!

    i know that but i wonder if i ust works at durons example manucatured befor v40 or something like that

    It works for all durons on T-Bred A/B Core!
    But there is a chance of about 3% that your procesoor wont work after this mod.
    Also if you removes it...

    But have a try on it.

    I already modded a Duron1400 to a XP2400+ @ 2Ghz. It's very simple. If you have a new package, where you can see the wires (or conductor; I don't know the vocabulary so good ), then you must scratch the syntethic off till you see the copper. Then you can connect them. Best results you get with a MIXIB stepping.

    My experince with Thortons and Applebreads is that they refuse to unlock the extra cahce when their multy is locked. after wk 34/03
