personally, I wouldn't pick one of these for air cooling alone.

with the very high multiplier and tendency for P4s to max around 3.7 and 3.9 ghz at the very best on air, that means your gonna be running a very slow FSB at 1:1, like 220 or so.

personally for air alone, I'd be more inclined to look at the 2.8 or 3.0 and focus on running some ram at 1:1 at 250 or so.
it's not hard and would be a better overall OC with the P4 given that they tend to almost always hit somewhere between 3.7 and 3.9 max on air.

I heard that most does 4GHz on stock cooler.

but, for exemple. Karnivore already got a 2.8C that didnt go over 2.9, and Grace got one at 4.2GHz water...

Well, if you can get for only 200$, I wouldn't hesitate. Although that price seems xtremely low.

As for the board, I'd recommend the ASUS P4P800 - P4C800-E or the ABIT IC7-G, depending on which one you can get over there.

I can get both of the motherboards, but i would like 2 know which is better the Asus P4P800 SE or Abit IS7-E? Which has better bios configuration, i mean like more Vcore and mainly Vdimm core, cause 2.8V is not enough 4 me.

Get the AI7 then, it can pump 3.2v into your RAMs without any vmods.

the A64 2800+ probably wont beat the 3.4C.

And for the board, its AI7 all the way. It is better then any canterwood. And you can even enable PAT on it. It's a canterwood killer like Eva2000 would say. Its the best I got between a P4P800, MSI 865PE NEO2, and the AI7.

    Good luck...

Buy the 3.4c resell it and use the profit to buy the 2800+.
