Quite easy with plastic strips

Bent and broke off a good deal of copper fins. Still the fan touches my bottom pci-e slot if I don't support the card somehow. Now it's partly hanging by its pci-e power cable. About 36-37 idle and 46-47 load on the gpu.

Yes, indeed what you see is a heatpipe based heatsink. ArcticCooling Freezer to be exact. Do a search in these forums for other posts made by ArcticOC and you'll see that he is a genuis when it comes to aircooling.

Go, see and be blown away.

This chipset heatsink that he custom made from a AC freezer isn't the only really impressive cooling device by him.

Oh yeah...... I did just what you suggested. Neat NEAT stuff!! I'm a little chicken to hack up my AC Freezer though
