I used a pencil so now I'm at 1.65v and 610/615 3dmark stable stock cooling. I wish there was a way to unlock those 4 pipes

How long until someone makes 700 on air?
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
There is no way to activate 16 pipes?? i just ordered a sapphire with vivo
Maybe after bios flash we need to use some modified drivers to use 16 pipes?
Greetingss
ive already sold 2 of 3 cards i had of them, im waiting for my 2x MSI X800Pro now...
Ill go ahead with my order...someone will discover the way to use 16 pipes in sapphires...and then sapphire vivo cards with 1,6ns chips gonna kick ass
the overclockability of the 1.6ns chips isnt better than the one of the 2.0ns, i had the memory @590 (card nr.1) @595 (nr2), i didnt test the third card. That already was with the xt bios...
omg all bad news... -.-
Where could I find the pencil mod for this card?
I believe my card can do 560/620, but I just need to do more testing.
Here goes my newest bench
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=2662212
550/616 clocks were used, all air no vmods.
Maybe with the pencil mod i'll take a crack at some P4 scores.
I had the Sapphire X800PRO VIVO..
It had XT core and 1,6ns mem..
I vmodded it from 1,41v to 1,45v and it all went to hell , so now I'm begging I'm getting my money back on it..
Ill hope the netshop doesn't take off the cooler
Then what's the big deal of using XT cores? or now it's not XT anymore, I mean "AD" and "AA" ain't the 100% way to tell anymore...Originally posted by STEvil

Turricanm3--->"i had the memory @590 (card nr.1) @595 (nr2), " my 1,6ns does around 615-625 In my book thats better than 595 so I think 1,6ns clocks better than 2,0ns

did u 2 clock the memory after flashing to xt?
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe

Mushkin DDR400 BASIC 2*512mb
Albatron GeForce 6600GT 128mb (Being Repaired)
Samsung SyncMaster 730BF 17" (4ms RT, 600:1 CR)
jepp, i flashed to xt Bios first...
I got one of these, stock cooling can't really handle the heat, at only 525mhz core it gets up to 72c and maxes out on mine. Memory does 583 no problem. I'm going to wait a couple days and then I'll take the hsf off and give you guys some numbers
-Phenom2 x6 1055 @stock
-8gb ddr3
-Gigabyte UD3
-Geforce 7900Gt 755/1863 1.562v vgpu
-OCZ Powersupply 600w
So I connected the dots with a conductive ink and still nothing.... 12 pipes..... I'm getting really mad....

There is a way to mod those Vivos with 1.6ns RAM!
You just need to use a different bios than the Sapphire X800 XT bios! This ain't the real deal, in fact there are some bytes missing!
Get the Gigabyte X800 XT Bios from here:
http://www.station-drivers.com/page/atidriv%20bios.htm
Flash it, boot up, restart Windows (you should be asked to do so).
Then you have 16 working pipes - IF you have a X800 Pro with a XT core and 1.6ns ram.
Might be working for other cards too, needs more testing.
For all those who connected their dots and it didn't work - connect the dots and flash this new bios. Good luck!
so any figure out to have X800XT bios which already disables that VIVO stuff for X800Pro cards ?
