    Fortron 460W. !!!

    Hi,
tomorrow I`m getting a new PSU and i was thinking of getting the Fortron 460W. What do you guys think about it ?
Right now I don`t need such power cause my system doesn`t require that much power, but in the near future I`m going to get a new rigggg based on the new socket 939 Athlon 64 with nForce 3 pro 250 mobo and 2x512 Corsair PC4400 ram with Raddy X800Pro and a very nice water cooling system so i think for my future PC i will need this PSU, cause I`m thinking of OC it very nice. What do you think about it? is there anything i should consider before buying it ?
    Thanks in advance to everyone.

A little off topic I'm afraid... but why on God's green earth would you burden a S939 A64 with PC4400 DDR???

    Come on man....
Grab some nice PC3200/3500...or if you can't find any BH-5/6 try some of the OCZ EB series...

I'm sure the Fortron 430 would do the task...but as Charlie mentioned...ditch the RAM. There may not be any BH-5 from vendors now...but BH-6 still OC's well with voltage (it's like the red headed step child...would have been praised if BH-5 never existed), and now there's the OCZ EB stuff and Corsair's new 2-2-2-5 stuff coming down the road.

I would look around for the 530w Fortron (or Sparkle) and not just settle.

As the resident Fortron Fanboy. Get the 530 watt. It's not too much more. Newegg Mysteriously raised the prices on these when they got popular. Newegg is $81 shipped now. They used to me $72 shipped.

I've been getting them from dealsonic.com

    Fortron page.

    http://www.dealsonic.com/fofgr.html

    $66.99 + $5.95 shipping.

They are OEM, you dont get the box.

All the fortrons have pots in them. Even the cheap $18 fortron HiQ model.

Dont even ask where i've been!!!

I does not matter if your BH-5 was factory binned as PC3000... At all. 5:4 is a little dodgy on the a64 if i recall correctly. PC 4400 is never optimal, most reviewers don't V-mod. Thats all there is to it.

Have you looked for any dealers that do ship all over? (Checked out that dealsonic place for instance.)

If ordering isn't an option (shipping might be pretty bad I guess) what are all the options you have for PSUs? The Fortron is probably the best bet but you might want more wattage and if you could get a high wattage Antec or PC Power and Cooling that might be worth it.

FSP Group make Sparkle and Fortran PSUs.

So if you see a FSP, Sparkle or Fortran 530w it will most likely be the same PSU.
