artwork? looks like any average voltmod...
Personally, i wouldnt like the pots just hanging off the pcb like that, id have them glued down somewhere.

I agree with Christoph, keep wires as short as possible, and secure the VR's.

As you see, they are not glued only on 9800XT and sk8n. scroll down.

    Looks good man!

I personally Don't consider vmodding an art but definetly a skill which you appear to have

Very true. You do have some skills, as i couldnt do a vmod without an smd grabber if my life depended on it

When the pots are anodized, then ill consider it artwork

As long as the volts keep flowin', it's a good vmod. But it's definately a plus to keep things clear, and this is where you rock
Keep it up (and get them pots anodized )

Were those mods done by you? I usualy don't give opinion on other ppl vdmos "artwork", but those look good. Even thou I don't like using colored and 24 gauge wires, that you can see all over the place. Also, I don't like long wires.

I just think short wires are nice to keep the card clean. Ofcourse it does not matter in preformance.

Malves, yeah, they are made by me.

Also I got an article about 9800XT vmodding.
    http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/...r9800xt-5.html

I don't think I got too long wires. They are long enough to place pots on the most handy way on pcb.

Just read the "Extreme Overclocking" article... a great idea to test like this (fixed core clock, memory clock increasing & the other way round). Reveals a lot of things I hadn't suspected
*goes to search for a SMD grabber for a memory vmod*

Tomorrow gonna meet my friend to take conductive lacquer for the mod.

    It's gonna be hot...

Looks OK!!, BUT you gotta keep those leads as short as possible. Long leads add another small inductance (Opposite of capacitance) to the series circuit of the wire pot wire connection. At high swithing frequencies, any inductance matters greatly and can create phase/propagation delays with pulsing signals (bad). It may or may not be a factor, but keeping them short reduces any chance of this occuring.

My Vmods I just solder in a surface mount resistor over top of whatever I'm bypassing. For me, soldering surface mount components is much easier than soldering pots, resistors, etc to my board because I got multi thousand dollar Hakko equipment Dont run out and buy this shyt, I use it for my business and thats the only reason I got it.

If you got steady hands and good soldering skills, you could probably do it ith a good iron. The results look 100% factory and you cant tell they are even there. No worry about shorting, broken leads, or any of that other crap.

With the long leads though... Make em shorter man, They may not be hurting your performance, but they might be.

Here's a little thing I have done which I havent heard of anyone doing. I solder on most of the missing caps ASUS decided didnt need to be there soley for cost concerns. I gained 2MHZ 100% stability and my Vcore doesnt fluctuate near as much. I'm talking about the row of missing caps near the socket, the black flat surface mount cap inside the socket, the 4 surface mount caps in the socket, and the larger electrolytic caps near the top of the board. I also used tantalum caps which are the best ESR/Ripple current caps on earth period. When adding caps it's not how much capacitance, it's how low of ESR and quality of the caps. The caps are meant for high frequency noise filtering, They do not whatsoever support the voltage rail. No way in this dimension are small caps like that gonna help support a 75+amp draw. Quality caps, not quantity caps. These ideas can also be taken over to Vid Card modding.

Hope this helps some of ya out
