Question about FX53 and Vapochill LS

Hi,
New to the forums. It appears there is a lot of good information here!
I'm thinking about purchasing a Vapochill LS for my system.
I'm running a DangerDen water system now. My FX53 does 2.7 GHz on water stable, temps hover in the high 40's at load.

If I purchase the LS what can I expect? I would think that the chip would do 3 GHz anyway, but I don't have any experience in super cooling.

Well i dosent got vapochill myself but its very likly that u would hit 3GHz+ with it but then u need to "isolate" or what it is in english to protect for condens etc when u are running with - degrees.

With watercooling u got a moveablesytem which preforms very good and is very uncomplicated.


But if u got the time and money go for the phase-change cooling.

IMHO water is just as complicated as turn-key phase-change.
3 gig is highly probable but you can NEVER know that until you try.

I have a delivery date of June 3rd for the unit.

This was my system before upgrading to the FX53

I'm very comfortable with using water, I think the system turned out great.
I'm using the same box for my FX chip now only with an A64 waterblock and the water is green for AMD.
I need to take some pictures and redo the page.

IMO the heat is just to much around 3ghz, on my stock mach 1 i can reach 3ghz but no benches (unmodded sk8v). i can bench 2940mhz max.
temps will go as high as 10c under full load.

dry ice is the only affordable way to hit 3ghz+ benches imo. ive never done it tho.

btw im running 2.7ghz 24/7 also, 13x208fsb so i dont run a .5 multipler. prime stable and runs about -4c to 4c under load

Are you running a Fx51 or FX53? Duh just looked at the pic in your sig FX53
I'm running 2.7 now with water. I would have thought that the Vapo would get me to the 3 Ghz level
The temps I'm running at 40C would make believe I could get there.

mach2 gt or mach with r404 is %90 will end with 3ghz+ but cant be sure about ls or mach2 can get you there

i run my FX 53 @ 3Ghz with Mach II R404 modded. i can run thru benchies and all. vcore is @ 1.775v.. not 100% stable, but 90%....

i have a SK8N, but i just cant get the HTT high...!!!
