I don't even know what they do? I was thinking about getting a 2600 moblie chip. Thought that might solve some problems if it is my cpu that is being touchy.
A Mobile chip might solve your problems. You can only try it.

crazyboyrs: Thanks . Not all that frequent on the questions. I used to be a moderator on the hardforums, and I can tell you the questions were much more frequent .

Yeah so I orderd a mobile chip, I should be getting it tomorrow or saturday. Its the 2600 chip.....and I am excited! KnightElite I had a few questions about my bios settings on the DFI nfII ultra infinity board and I was wondering if you could help me out?

Super bypass = What enable or disabled?

Sync mode memory bypass What is is? Enable, disable?

data scavenged rate? enable, disable, what is it/ who is your dady and what does he do?

Command per clock? What is it and what should he set it at.

Dim driving strengths and slew rates?

Also what can I exspect to get from my mobile chip and what voltage and fsb/X should I use or can you reccomend?

    Thanks in advanced!

As to all the memory info, well I have no clue . I had some stuff like that on my KD7-RAID and I had no idea what it all did. Command per clock is probably command rate, and should be set to T1 if the RAM can handle it, if not T2.

You can probably expect about 2.4 GHz or more. I would go up to 1.7V or higher if you need to, shouldn't be a problem. FSB... at least 200, but as high as you can go.

Alright, well I am OCing via air cooling w/ a sp97 and tornado. What is the voltage threshehold that I am going to run into as far as heat and stablity is concerned? My friends that are running water cooled cpu's seem to be able to push more volts and get them stable, I am a assuming because they are getting cooled more effiecently.
So pretty much I should shoot for 1.7 volts but no more than....?
Also, I have khx3200 (bh-5) 2x512, I can rum memtest (test 5) for days at 235x10 with no errors but if I do 236x10 i start to get errors. Is there any other possible way that I can push this fsb thereshold higher?
    THX in advance.

Possibly, with more voltage to the RAM.

I've run 1.9V in my 1700+ with a SLK947-U before, but it got pretty hot. With a TEC, I've used 2.15V on the same CPU.

Datachild, do you want to build your watercooling from parts or assemble a kit?

DGeNeRaT3, if you have enough ambition and motiviation you too can become one of the best.

Orak, someone who is new to something, also called a newb. This can also be taken as an insult in the wrong context.

    just making sure

just making sure before i begin ocing.

    m xp 2500+ and nf7

    1) when i rize teh fsb do and it get unstable do i rize the core voltage or the ram voltage. (is that called DIMM or something like that?)

    2) then after i rize the fsb to the highest what senting to i put the fsb at to find out my max muliplers. and i rize the core voltage right.

    3) after that i should c which one will give me a high setting, higher FSB and low muilpier or low FSB and a high mitilper

    4) what should be my max voltage.

    thanks im just making sure.

Looks like you got some advise on parts from XS members. Good first rig for nice prices. You've won half the battle. Should be fun for a new guy to walk away with a couple hundred MHz easily. Dont see ram or heatsink though. Hope you got something decent.

I think there is another guide posted somewhere here. There are single web documents that will better answer all your questions as well as tell you everything else you should know.

edit: Here it is. All about nf2 pretty much despite the generic name.
