Nice kakaroto! How are your temps? What kind of water additive did you use?

Thanks! My temps are 30C idle and 41C stress (opteron 146 @300x10 1.488v Prime stable and with IHS on)Originally Posted by Hu1kamania
I used Dest. Water, Zerex Water coolant and Ethanol 70% VV (kill those algies!!)
What about your ambient temp?Originally Posted by kakaroto
I think your temps are a bit too high...

My ambient is 20C. I think these are normal temps. Opterons are hot too.Originally Posted by Thomas FJ

zeus: that's one clean setup I was just wondering about the vibration of the pump? is it loud? and how sturdy is it?
Thnx.Originally Posted by idleuser
It's not loud at all actually, i used the neoprene patch that came with the pump and mounted the pump with 2 of these:
How sturdy is what? The pump or the mount?
The pump is very good built and the mount is a bit flexible but it definately won't come off.

finally got some pics my rebuilt system. replaced my noisy hydor l35 with a quieter D5 and installed the BIP3
Here is my first attempt at building a watercooled rig. I like the TT Tai Chi case and they hung most of the components on the door. I didn't want their POS stuff so I ordered the case and loaded it up with mostly Swiftech components. I still have to install the UV lighting.
Here is a shot when I was fitting it all up.
Here is the finished product
Interior shot
Here is a shot looking down the throat of the drive bays with the door shut. I've got about 3/8" clearence between the top edge of the 7800GT graphics card and fan grill on the radiator. A little tight,
Last shot with the door closed
Nice job Rapier. Looks like top notch gear all the way. No corners cut here. Very clean, if unusual install.
You know Rock, I always have to be a little different. I do like the low temps of 82F at idle and 104F under load with Opti 146 @ 3.1 ghz and 1.57v on the core.Originally Posted by Rockhammer
Rapier, I knew that case had some potential for watercooling, and I must say you did one hell of an excelent job exploiting the posibilities of that case. Excelent work.
I am especially fond of how you setup that Y fitting.
love the batter, i'm actually planning to do the same thing lol, dont feel like shelling out 12 bucks for a "fill port"Originally Posted by mindwreck

MaxxxRacer, coming from you its the highest compliment I could ask for! That silicon-based tubing I got from work makes it easy (I work in a chemical plant). You couldn't get that tight loop on the discharge line from the block with Tygon. I did get the the UV lights put in it today. Here are some more pics.Originally Posted by MaxxxRacer
