DX8.1b got me NOTHING, I say nothing more... And additionally I could not play my games

Aquamark wants dx9 too and so on... so why bother with dx8?
I got exactly the same scores (cat 3.5 used) with the usual little variance of every 3dm score.

Cool i will prob upgarde to 9.0b on my 2k install. Anyone wish to chime in which platform is best for 3dmark03.

On my regular OS which is XP im running firegl drivers with my 9800 (I use 3d apps). These actually give me a good score in 3dmark03 (in sig). Wonder what w2k is like with 3dmark03, peeps please chime in

Im the same, use my XP install to bench '03. My score sucks hard but what do you expect from 460/390

No need to vmod, uninstall the ATi drivers you are running, install 3.2, 3.5 or 3.7 and say hello to the Athlon XP 22K club

I'm working on a benching OS at the moment, an utterly pared-down Win2k with SP4 slipstreamed (I find it's a lot faster than if you install SP4 afterwards), with 3.2 Cats and DX8.1...that benchmark was taken on a 4 month old install crudded up to the eyeballs...

But I wanna do the vmods anyway

Don't remember exactly what drivers I used but I got (a while ago) over 7k in 3dm03 too with win2k sp3, dx9a.

Thats me My xp can do 3ghz to but i get problems with high fsb. I can bench 15*200 but any fsb higer will not work above 13! My card is a R9800 non pro and still stock cooled. I'm getting my pelt ready for the card as we speak. Cya @ 23k

Your score is really good, i was no where near that a few months back. However i have to draw the line somewhere. Searching through 21K scores is a real twat lol

Ah well, I'll get there eventually...there's a 1GHz mobile Duron burning in in my main rig at the moment though, so I can't try right now

I did the pencil VDD mod yesterday, still not sure how to do vdimm without soldering
Raddy has already been modded too, all I need now is a tweaked Win2k and a good run with high FSB + high vCore
EDIT: Oh, I forgot something! Unlike my old NF7, the one I have now does NOT have a problem with Ras-to-Cas @ 2 Still haven't found the max FSB @ 11-2-2-2 2.99V, but I know for sure that 235 killed my windows
