Regardless of the compression of a diesel engine, or the heat of the cylinders. Without oxygen it will NOT ignite.
Diesel is good to use as an example because it technically isnt a fuel, its more of an oil. So, apply the same principle to the mineral/POE oils used in a cooling system. With any oxidizer it can ignite.
Chilly1 thanks for the info. You answered a question i have had for a long time. I didnt know that nitros had the same affect as oxidizers.

Thanks, nitros is a hazard, no only will it burn the oil but with the proper proportions in the compressor it becomes a bomb, look at it this way one half of a cup of mineral oil and enough ten oz of decomposed nitros under the right conditions will level a house. Sorta like five sticks of dinomite.
