What speed?
XMS3200C2 v1.1 should be BH-6.![]()
2/2/2/2/9?
try 2/2/2/2/11
Asus G60VX : Intel T9600@3.299GHZ : Nvidia GTX260M @ STOCK/ .9v
yep go for 2-2-2-11 for nforce2 platforms seems to be faster.
i was under the impression that 2,2,2,2,11 was best for the NF7, i could be wrong thou
speed is 215mhz, i got a 2500 that don't like high fsb's
whats the deal with BH-6 then if it turns out that one of my sticks is that

what exactly is an amd overclockers dream, scpecifically?
can you see the light? is it shining too bright? can you see the light at the end of the tunnel, i know i do, i know its true.
Depends on the FSB. Lower FSB = lower Tras.Originally posted by sexsymbol

bad news the 3500 stick was giving me problems, took the heat spreader off, and its missing 2 resistors, will post pics later

heres a pic of the missing bits, sorry bout pic quality
but you can see its missing 2 small resistors,
i take it these are nessisary as there on the stick in the first place

If you look right above that a whole ram chip is missing.![]()
there is a good possibility that there are not supposed to be resistors there.
lol he catches the transistors but not the ram chip XD
in all seriousness, you should RMA that baby stat.
im wondering, what does this have to do with "an AMD overclockers dream?"
lol
nice find on the ram though
and yes as jfr0 said there is a possibility that there were never resistors there in the first place
yes there was, as i still got one of them somewhere, no point in RMA'ing as i won't get BH-5 back will I? if i can get the same resistors i can easily fix it
as for "an AMD overclockers dream" tis the best memory to have in an AMD rig IMO

Don't see why this is specifically aimed at AMD, low latency is the best memory for any rig.Originally posted by TheJackal

Windows 7 + SSD:
Mode: AHCI, default Microsoft driver or latest Intel RST
Defrag: Off
Hibernation: Off (use Sleep mode, recommend a UPS)
Indexing: On (it only indexes a few locations, not your whole system unless you tell it to)
Page File: On (set to the minimum of 16MB if you have a large amount of RAM, disabling not recommended)
Prefetch: On
Superfetch: On (RAM is always faster than an SSD - use it)
System Restore: Off (with regular backups)
Browser Cache: RAM Only, Disk Cache Off (How to with Chrome)
Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos, Downloads to HDD (Public Libraries too, see above link about junctions)
UAC: On!
My idea of an AMD overclockers dream would be some BH-5 that will run a decent FSB.![]()
I've heard it all, I've seen it all, I've done it all. I just don't remember any of it.

My personal expirience with NF7 gave me same results or better with 2-2-2-11 over 2-2-2-5. Using as benchmark sandra. I´ve tried those results with 230FSB up to 245FSB.Originally posted by Endre
