Question Getting a 5x5cm TEC under my MCW50.

Hi guys, here is my setup.
    Dual watercooling..
    Res>Via 1300>Procore w/ huge delta >MCW5000>res
    Res>Via 1300>large heatercore, dual 12cm fans>NB>GPU>Res

So I think I can handle a lil TEC action? My question is, how should I go about getting a TEC under my MCW50 and MCW5000? I'm getting 170watter for my R9800 off Ebay. Yeah I'm a firstimer so any tips would be pretty helpful

the 172W TEC is 40mmx40mm, so if you're using that. it's fine. A larger TEC will not fit.

Because that's the size of the block's base. The space for the TEC is only for 40mmx40mm TECs.

50X50 is significantly larger than 40X40, and you will notice a difference in size just by eyeballing it.

    I found d00de in UK selling 40x40 110 watters with Umax 15.2volts.

MCW50 needs 40x40mm module. The most popular is 172 watter by Kryotherm with Umax 24volts which offers aound 86watts Qmax at 12 volts. You may be able to find other ones mind you.

As far as MCW5002 is concerned only 226 watters or stronger would make any sense. You may source them from e-bay DD or ... wherewer.

Try www.swiftnets.com for TEC upgrade kits for your blocks

or modded a block that can hold a 50mm x 50mm tec yes it can be done. Is it feasable? well that depends on your modding skilz and availability to the machinery you'll need to make suck a block. I've toyed with the idea of submitting to dangerden the idea of them producing one but as of yet I have not done it.
