    Where do ya buy pelts?

    Wheres a good place to buy some at? Im looking at maybe kits and just pelts by themselves. Thanks

    I noticed that some of the peltiers on ebay just have 2 wires coming out and arnt connected to anything. And since they use DC, how would you go about connecting them to an AC outlet? Instead of drawing power from the psu...

    You will need a DC power supply, you can use a PC supply as well as stand-alones like the meanwell. They are indeed DC, and the ones most often used in PC apps range from 80 watts to 226 watts, 12 volts DC to 24 Volts DC. It is impossible to directly connect the Pelt to AC voltage, well at least safely and still retain function...

    You may try but buy some fuses first and prepare for fireworks since it will blow up big time
    DangerDen and ebay are most reowned sources of TECs. You may also want ot run a google search for manufacturers and their retailers, there's a handful of them in US
    Stock is never good enough!

    Thanks for the info. I'll look into meanwell, I did see they sold one at danger den... One more quick question, what's it mean for a peltier to be 'potted'? I noticed some say that, and others dont (such as ones i've seen a few of on ebay).

    Oh, it argerly depends on where you are based. I have recently located nice source of dead cheap plets Umax15. volts, 50x50mm and 40x40mm
