    bowman1964,

Well what can I tell you, I run a Abit IT7 and a 2.8g P4. This is the fastest setup I have ever had. My P4 is doing 3622 rock stable with a Prometeia, the mem is set at 329Mhz. This combo Rocks, The IT7 has all the foo foo stuff on it, onboard lan and sound, 4 raid ports, I love it.
Now the thing I'm doing next is going to the KD7 and a XP2600, I hope. I would also like to try the AT7II. But as far as speed I don't no yet since I haven't even gotten to try one yet. My guess is it will perform just as well if not faster after overclocked as my current IT7 setup.

    bowman1964,

Depending on how well these new 2400+/2600+'s clock, they may very well make AMD the fastest system to have again. To ask right now, today, I would say a P4/DDR setup is the way to go. However, I think we might see a different story in the near future

    SupaMart

The KD7 socket is basically in the same position as the KX7..and I have my KX7 inside a Prometeia at the present time. it should work just fine in the KD7/AT7 MAXll.

OPP....I'm glad I gave you the AMD itch again...It's getting lonely with only Marty and I holding the AMD torch

Doh, I just deleted my message since the KD7, to my knowledge, hasn't been released just yet... but just for others to know (and which you guys could guess), I was asking if the Prometeia would fit the KD7 socket alright.

    Thanks for the info Randi
