Thumbs up NEW MACH 2 ST from nVENTIV !!!

    This is just great!

Phase change has become even more cheaper!!! thanks to the new Mach 2 ST!

nVENTIV will present a new product called Mach II st on monday. They have told resellers weeks ago so it could be in stock for the official launchdate. The product will be a Mach II without support for displays and without USB-connection and the software. Instead it will have a better rubberhose (much more rigid) and the price the best part - MSRP is set at 480,- Euros!

Anyone who hasnt bought a phase change cooling system...now thats gonna be a great deal...

Would even be worth getting two of them. One for your CPU and one for your GFX card

Asetek has a new cooler scheduled to be released soon also. All I know at this time is it looks just like a Mach 1 with the aluminum kit.

Edit; sorry, didn't see your other post.

See this thread for more details. Isnt this idea from Nventiv much the same as Asetek's idea of the standalone edition (i hope they continue that trend with their new cooler as that would rock)

At the end of the day why get watercooling if the unit is gonna cost arround £330 when a good watercooling setup will set you back more than £250?

Yes true BUT I WC my rig for £240 and that was with Ehiem 1250, Maze 4 CPU and GPU and decent rad and res. You can only cool the CPU with that...

Indeed mate.I was using the waterchill along with my mach 2 to cool my NB and GFX...i aint doing that anymore though.

With freon you will get a lot better overclocks compared to WC.
In canterwood boards i dont think NB cooling makes any difference unless youre running some v high fsbs( i noticed no difference by WC my NB and active cooling the stock HS with a little fan) and then again your GFX can still be cooled efficiently with an arctic cooler vga.

No you cant replace watercooling for all of your parts with phase change but then again most of the people go either phase change or watercooling focused only on cpu cooling...

Manufacturers suggested retail price is 480 Euros mate, which means it will definitely be around that sort of price.

Spending £330 for cooling isnt cheap at all...

i am comparing its price with the mach 2 i bought for £550+

Its like £200 less so it is quite cheap compared to the mach 2.

If i take into account that a good watercooling system costs £250+ then for a bit extra you can get higher clocks etc

naaahhh watercooling doesnt cost that much!

    50€ cpu block
    25€ pump
    20€ hoses
    20€ res
    20€ gpu block
    20€ nb block
    20€ rad
    20€ 120mm fans

=200€ and this is pretty much the best watercooling you can build!

thats less than half the price of the mach 2 st and a watercooling system consumes like 30W of power and cools the entire system whil the mach 2 st only cools the cpu and you have to pay like 20€ a month for the extra power it consumes!

Thats weird cos just for my waterchill i paid £210+ here in the UK and a maze, eheim etc setup will set you back £250 which arround here are supposed to be the best parts you can get...

perhaps i shouldnt have come in the UK for the UNI at all...is germany the right place then

Nice move of nVentiv. But I wanna see an improved MachII with R404a,which will be able to compete with the Vapo "MachII Clone" LS.
I hope that nVentiv will show some new stuff@CeBIT 2004

All distributors and resellers were intructed not to mention the new unit from nVentiv anywhere publicly until AFTER they had officially announced the product t Cebit. None of the info on this unit is supposed to be available to the public yet, only to resellers and distributors... breach of NDA... If yer gonna be privvy to confidential info you should do them the honor of keepin it confidential IMO til they say otherwise.

Then delete this thread. It's not worth pissing off manufacturers imo.
