Water Chilling

OK, this is my water chiller. Actually I aquired two of these but gave one to my brother for his help in getting them running.

Anyway, keeping my Barton @ 235X9 (Work In Progress) at -3C
(diode) and the MCW50-T on my 9700 Pro gets frosty!
I need to blow out the evaporator with compressed air and do a bit more insulating.

Lost an A7N8X-D to this mod (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...threadid=28829) but replaced it with a DFI Lan Party NFII Ultra B This board rules for FSB. I don't think 250+ is going to be a problem

I dont have any suggestions but i have a question..lol....Does a watercooling system cast more or less than a liquid chilling system??(Take for example they are both top of the line)....And approximately how much more or less??

In my opinion a window ac chiller is the cheepest easiest most efective way to go. I can't comment on production stuff do to lack of experience there, but I'm sure production stuff cost way more and does less.

Hmmmmm... A cascade chiller. Interesting. What refrigerants does it use? What kind of coolant fluid is used at -80C?

The chiller uses R13B1 and Propane.

If you need operation @ -80°C you need to use anhydrous methanol or an expensive flourosilicone fluid.

Just some more recent observations:

1) @-10°C I was getting severe condensation No problem at >0°C
(no condensation) or <-20°C (frost). Fortunately I was AG after a
little time spend using a hair dryer on it.

2) This damn thing is NOISEY (probably as bad as a tornado fan!)
I should have gone with my original plan which was to drill holes
in the wall of my house and locate the chiller outdoors under my
deck! Also it is vibrating my entire desk at a high frequency! Oh
well, I can always do that later anyway.

3) It probably isn't good to send your parts from ambient -> -20°C
more or less instantly! I am pretty sure that my brother smoked
his ASUS 9800XT that way on Sunday (thermal shock). Here's
hoping he can get an RMA since there isn't any obvious
damage.

4) I think my case temp of 15°C is pretty cool
