Pretty impresive when you consider that a GF4 has a 128 bit mem bus and a lot of cards with a 256 bit bus still need much higher clocks to reach that score.

    Windows 7 + SSD:
Mode: AHCI, default Microsoft driver or latest Intel RST
    Defrag: Off
Hibernation: Off (use Sleep mode, recommend a UPS)
Indexing: On (it only indexes a few locations, not your whole system unless you tell it to)
Page File: On (set to the minimum of 16MB if you have a large amount of RAM, disabling not recommended)
    Prefetch: On
Superfetch: On (RAM is always faster than an SSD - use it)
System Restore: Off (with regular backups)
Browser Cache: RAM Only, Disk Cache Off (How to with Chrome)

thats why I have chosen to stick with my ti4200. Im getting 16.5k with my current rig. If I had the funds I could break 18k with a moble barton and ram thatll do 240fsb or 20k plus on socket 939 mobo. Save that champ ti4600 of yours man, dont sell it!!!!!!! alot of guys regretted that too. once socket 939 comes out, go for 24k!

my rig with stock ti4600 scores higher than your best but still sucks big time compared to raddy in every game. I'm not sure why your so excited about your sluggish ti4200. i mean it was ok two years ago but now it's just an office pc video card, lol.

You know very well that you can't compare your systems...

You destroy him in system power, not GPU power, when you are talking about running stock.

thank you very much, well said r3b0rN. I could have gotten 17k or if I really put $$$$$$ and time into it, 18k air cooled but I had to stop somewhere and I realize its not worth plucking down more $ to improve my already good score, id rather save up for real games now like HL2 and doom3. HL2 ought to run 1600x1200 everything maxed out at smooth fps while doom3 may run 800x600 max details cause doom3 is gonna be alot more graphics and gpu intensive. ut2004 flies at 1600x1200 too. I dont care what anyone says, my ti4200 runs any game I throw at it just fine, if any game is slow, its my cpu holding me back

lets wait till that game comes out, but I am just saying this game will have very low system requirements of 800MHz p3 and a geforce2! That means average joe with his dell from 2000 will be able to enjoy HL2, just not at 1600x1200. Doom3 on the other hand is alot less unforgiving, may need a 2GHz p4 or xp1700 and a dx8 card minimum, like a geforce3 or radeon8500 and might not even be able to run 1600x1200 on any but the highest end systems overclocked like crazy. I am hearing even a barton xp3200 and 9800 pro(both stock) will only get 40fps in 1024x768 medium-high details(a bit below max) If thats true, I may have to run 800x600 medium details(halfway from max) to get that performance
