    Yes, the club of very few. Superb job stang!

    I don't think we will see 3.0 on air anytime soon. Mabey next year, lol. If AMD decided to rls a 0.09 core, I think it could easily happen.

    I am was runn 2.678 on air yestarday.

    Maybe it should just be 3ghz on any cooling because thats a good milestone for aynone.

    3 ghz on air isn't all that farfetched, some places it do get very cold during the winter. A few places in my country temperatures can plommit to below -40 C during winter. Put the rig outside in those tempertures and 3 ghz on air would be feasible.

    No kidding. You really can freeze at -40c...

    Then again you could just run some lines, and operate it from inside your house.

    Just hope you don't have to ever reset the CMOS

    Your best bet is to run piping to the stuff you wanna cool from inside.

    actually power supplies can handle more watts at lower temps. like the rating on most power supply is what it will deliver at 40c, but in the manual they sometimes say that it can deliver like 100w more at 25c

    I'm pretty darn sure a PSU can work at -40c, look at your local power station....

    The fan might not work, but who needs a fan at -40c?

    Stang_Man is your mach1 modded and what temp's are you getting via lcd, bios, windows which ever seem the most correct.

    Nice going Stang

    CAn i just ask, is anybody that gets these high overclocks using the IDE channels on the NF7's?

    I have two of the things, and every time i try to go over 2500mhz i loose ide

    So are you guys using sata hdd's or an ide raid card or summit?

    Chers peeps

    From my seeing, most people use ide raid cards to oc in the regions. Always could use sata beats wasting a pci slot

    Power suplies DON'T WORK at -40, nore does anything with an elcetrolytic capacitor on or in it, that includes most MOBOs. The electrolyte just freezes and the thing gives up. Your CMOS battery will also freeze to death.

    I ran all my drives on IDE when I used to clock my 1700+ so 2.8GHz and I didn't notice a problem. Maybe because my ram was at 188MHz

    at 25C. that's pretty warm. 0C is freezing, and -40C is very cold. My power supply didn't have good voltages at 15F (~-12C??)

    nope, not modded.

    LCD = -29C full load
    BIOS = 19C full load
    Windows = 22C full load

    I think windows is the most correct temp. The NF7 has awesome sensors, and the temp sensor touches the back of the cpu right under the core. the voltage sensors are also great being right on with what a multimeter reads.

    I dont loose IDE at high fsb, however i've noticed now in my room, at 70F, i loose PS2 ports and floppy at FSB 240 or higher and vcore of 2.06V or higher. USB fixes that.

    SATA is known to corrupt faster than IDE, even with a PCI lock..

    Dammit, yup, if i select higher than 2.06v in bios, i loose ps2 and/or ide.

    Pain in the ass tbh.
