The race for 3.0ghz on AIR.

So.. who thinks we'll see 3.0ghz on AIR in the near future... stable?

Soon as I get paid i'm going to grab a new CPU.. 2700mhz+ would make me a VERY happy camper

im prolly gon buy a 2600+ mobile when theyre back in stock at newegg

couple that with a tornado and 5c ambient, and 2.2v that might do the trick

can you see the light? is it shining too bright? can you see the light at the end of the tunnel, i know i do, i know its true.

What are people getting so far on air with those 2500 mobiles on average? Hard to tell from that thread posted here but it seems to be about 2500 mhz so once we start seeing averages of 2.7 or so and 2.9 on water i think we will see it.

Cathar had a 2500+ at 2830 on a silver cascade, dual rads and some big arse blowers ... top of the line h20 rig

the same CPU did 2550 MHz on air IIRC

well if those 3000+ mobiles really run 2.2ghz with only 1.45v , then those have the highest chance to reach 3ghz on air.

IMHO the 3000+ mobiles aren't the low voltage versions we are looking for ATM... Maybe I am wrong but iirc amd introduced the new 2800+ mobile just a few days ago

OPP only got 2850 out of his mobile with R404 phase-change, that fact alone kinda makes the idea of 3Gig on air(!) sound a little far-fetched, no???

Just because opp hasn't done it don't mean someone can't!

Nothing against opp, but look at stangman.. alomst their.

YOU GOT IT STANG.. talk sweet love to her, give her more volts and let her rip.

EDIT: Opps forgot about the air part.. hmm.. might be harder on air.

he bought two, one for me and one for himself, i told him to eep the best ocer of both and he sent me a 2400+ thats does 2.7ghz 100% stable with cold air... his should be good for at least 2.75 on air.

i still didnt get the mobile he sent me though i hope nobody stole it! if they opened the box and want me to pay import taxes thats fine, i just want a chip that runs 2.5ghz+ on air FINALLY! ^^
