Introduction

Zetta specializes in making video surveillance equipment, and their main focus is making discreet cameras and can be easily placed out of direct view. The Zetta Z6 WiFi Hidden Camera is intended to improve the overall security of your house. For security purposes, the device has a unique hotspot (UID – Unit’s Identity) that can only be accessed by you and no one else without your consent. However, despite its modest size, the concealed camera is equipped with all the helpful capabilities you expect from a WiFi camera. This small size wifi security camera can do a lot of things, as long as the camera connects to the network, you can remote control and viewing via the internet when you away from the camera. By launching the APP and connecting to the room’s 2.4GHz router through WiFi, you will be able to watch live video or replays from anywhere in the world. It has night vision function, can show the image even dark at night, the sd card recording function allows you to setup a record plan. Also it comes with PIR body heat sensing.



Take a look at some of the specifics of this camera’s functions. This cam is designed to be used short term for inconspicuous recording or monitoring during needed times. Not 24/7 hi-def property surveillance.




Packaging & Contents

The Z6 arrived inside a luxury black box. The top side of the box has HD Camera printed on the left corner.



The white label on the side indicated the exact model inside.



The camera came nicely packaged with everything needed for a quick easy setup.



The bundle is really impressive so aside the Z6 you will get a mini-USB cable, two double coated tapes with 3M Adhesive 300LSE, a card reader 2.0 for microSD, a mount and the user's manual in two languages.








The Mount for the camera is attached to the camera itself, allowing it to be rotated 180 degrees.




A Closer Look

The cam is very small (about 3.8" X 3.8" X 4.2"cm). On the top of the device, we find ventilation holes to keep the internals cool. This camera has a broad viewing angle of 140 degrees and can record video in 1080p high definition. Additionally, the camera is equipped with LDR, PIR and IR LED which allow the user to see images up to five meters away in complete darkness. Built-in microphone can let you hear the sound, quiet recording the sound. No two way intercom function.



A RESET button and 3 LEDS are present on right side.



At the rear we can find a ON/Off switch, one MicroSD slot and a Mode button. A Micro SD card(128GB max), which must be purchased separately, can save the videos on the camera (Video format: mkv/.h264+). 1GB memory can record up to 2 hour video. Records more than 128 hours video by using 64GB microSD. The camera is charged through micro usb charging port. It can be charged by connecting to the USB port of a PC or power bank or 5V DC adapter. The 2800mAH 3.7V Li-ion battery of the Zetta Z6 is rechargeable, and the camera can record video while it is charging. When fully charged, it can be used for about 8 hours. On the back there also is a sticker with a QR code for easy setup via app and a number for manual setup via app.



For more discretion, this small 15cm module can be connected to the Z86 camera which will be used as a portable recorder.



Installation is required. User will need to open the Z6 camera to connect the camera modules. When the mini camera module is connected, the default camera of the Z6 won't be in use.




Netipc App

There is Wi-Fi mode and Router mode. Z6 acts as a hot spot, smartphone needs to enable Wi-Fi to directly connect to Z6. First of all you must download the Netipc App from Apple store. Slide switch to ON position, blue LED is on. Unfortunately the cam works only with Apple Devices.




On the screen, create a new account if you do not have an account before. A verification code will be sent to the email, enter it in the app. Otherwise, simply login with your existing account. Enter letter and number only for the account name and password. Go to phone setting -> Wi-Fi. Connect to @IPC-xxxxxx and then go back to the Netipc app. The app is easy to set up, just take your time. Note that the camera must be in a location with adequate WiFi signal strength to stay online.



Then scroll down once and the camera will be added, you can watch the live view now. You can take photo or record video to phone in live view.



On Router mode, the user can access Z6 anytime anywhere through the Internet. You can invite another user to connect to Z6. The videos captured by the Z6 spy camera can be accessed in a variety of ways. Send a message with small video clip to your smartphone instantly when body heat is detected. It is possible to configure push notifications to work with timers so that app users only receive notifications for the period of time they have set aside for their camera. Loop back recording once memory card is full. Always keep the most recent scenes. Press "Rec/Play" and watch the files recorded on microSD card. Set to "Disable" if not to record voice.



IR LED will be on automatically.




ZA1 Reactivator

The ZA1 Reactivator solved the problem related to the new power bank/external batteries that go into stand-by (therefore substantially not supplying power to the cam anymore) when the battery of the cam is fully charged the first time. Here comes the ZA1 Reactivator which, by means of a timer and a relay, reactivates the Power Bank/External Battery every 2 hours, thus allowing a series of timed recharges of the cam that in this way it can work for many days without any other intervention. The ZA1 is suitable for all devices with rechargeable batteries that absorb from a minimum of 100mAh to a maximum of 3A when charging.



The ZA1 has a Micro-USB socket (connect to the powerbank) and a USB socket (connect to the device to charge). The ZA1 Reactivator turn off when the detected absorption drops below 100 mAh (when the battery charge level of the connected device reaches 100%) and do not reactivate automatically, even if the absorption increases. They only start when they are disconnected and reconnected. This Powerbank will go into sleep when device under charging is fully charged.



It comes with only a USB/Micro-USB cable.



The ZA1 does not absorb energy from the powerbank, is powered by 3 x AA batteries (not included). With continuous use, the battery life of AA batteries is 15 days for the 400mAh dry cell battery.




Performance

The Zetta Z6 Spy Camera performs just as well in terms of video quality as the Z9: clear, crisp 1080p HD. If you’re hoping to catch someone, you’ll know for sure who it is—especially with how wide the angle is at 140 degrees.



Shooting in clear 1080p isn’t all this mini spy camera WiFi has manufactured: it also comes with night vision. If there’s some light in the room this model doesn’t “wash out” like others of the kind do when the IR lights come on.



Also you can add a micro SD card 128GB to record without WiFi like a normal camera. This will get loop recording automatically!




Final Thoughts

This camera is intended for people who want a small, discrete security camera that does not take up a lot of room and is difficult to detect from a distance. The Zetta Z6 1080p Mini Spy Camera combines high quality video recording, night vision, and Wi-Fi connectivity into a tiny, compact spy camera—absolutely essential for keeping tabs on your home while you’re away. This mini spy security camera is really plug and play right out of the box. Installing, mounting, and charging up the new mini camera was very simple and I had it up and running in no time. Everything is just as advertised. The camera already had a charge to it and once I downloaded the app, pairing was easy. Unfortunately the cam works only with Apple Devices. The application lets you playback or even download files from the camera directly on your smartphone, without having to remove the SD card or even worry about cables! Also, the app has the share feature which allows me to send the recorded pictures or movies to my computer or another phone very quickly and easily. I also like the fact that it an audio setting called voice where you can listen in. The camera has a body heat sensor which worked well. The image quality is fantastic (for mini spy cam) during the day or even in low light conditions. The night vision is really impressive which is totally beyond my expectation. Would have been better if the charger is type C but I'm sure future models will eventually be using it.



When you consider everything that goes into the Zetta Z6 Spy Hidden Camera , you’re getting a pretty good deal for $100. Picture quality on the video camera is solid when using night vision, and even better when shooting normally. And its Wi-Fi connectivity means you can watch live feed through its cell phone app. For someone who needs a nanny camera or looking to put together their own system home office security cameras, these are great for the job. If you want to keep an eye on things and want a camera you can hide or run off a battery pack (like a portable battery for your cell phone type of pack) then this is the one for you.
