I am not sure the 12xx are good for HEDT. They are missing AVX512 and dont have great power consumption. They are good for gaming and general office stuff, but for HEDT it would depend on your use case.

Yep it seems very confusing how intel messed up with 12th gen i9 pro but it might be waiting game how intel will ever implement full support avx512 though.
