I am thinking of making myself a single stage, I can choose R134 and R404A gas. Is R404A a good gas to use in an ss? Or there is a better gas to choose, I want atleast -50?C on the evap.

R404a/r507 should used in an SS.

For -50C @ load you have to use a Rotary compressor as in the SS in first page
