Non DOT (Department of Transportation) approved recovery tanks sold on Ebay. All recovery tanks used in the USA need to be DOT approved & have a "manufacture date" stamped in the metal. These do not. I ran across this as I was going to ask the seller "Born on Date". I could never use these on a job site or turn them for the refrigerant to be recycled . There would also be a Fine. Up to $1,000,000.00 Yes, my zero key didn't get stuck, Guess they wanted to scare people into complying. The original Montreal Protocol went into effect January 1 1989 IIRC.
