    Raijintek EOS 360 RBW

    Introduction

    It's been quite a while since we've looked at an AIO from Raijintek, but we figured with more and more cases able to accept 360mm rads, it wouldn't be ling before Raijintek brought out a new 360 AIO. Enter then the EOS 360 RBW. It combined with The new & patented design for the ultimate combination of the pump & cold plate micro-fins as well as unique featured 5V A-RGB light effects. Our 360mm version is available for less than €90, making it easily one of the cheapest available. So without further ado, let's take a closer look at what the EOS 360 RBW brings to the table.



    For a bit of a hint, let's take a look at those all important Technical Specifications shall we. Among the CPU sockets supported are AM4, LGA115x, and LGA2066.








    Packaging & Contents

    As you might imagine the EOS 360 RBW comes in quite a large box. Front and center on the box is an image of the pump and CPU block. The EOS 360 RBW name is on the left. To be honest, considering the size of the box, the images and text back here are more than a little on the small side and look somewhat lost on the slab like box side. The box is robust and sturdy. With a green-and-grey colour scheme, it isn't a very eye-catching design. All of the pictures that accompany the product descriptions are photos taken by us, so you can be assured of achieving the same look if you invest your hard earned cash in these awesome products.





    It's the left side of the box that contains all the information on this all-in-one liquid cooler- socket support, PWM fan speeds, pump performance, etc., are all listed here.



    The right side is blank with just the UPC and QR codes



    Opening the box will show a white color Styrofoam placed over the contents. The contents are tucked inside an egged carton for maximum safety during shipping. The fans and the accessories are placed inside black color boxes.




    Opening up the box you're offered with a wide list of accessories for mounting the cooler onto Intel or AMD platforms, 3 x 120mm PWM RGB capable fans, and a PWM Fan Y Cable.

    The 360mm radiator includes three 120 x 25mm ARGB fans to move air through the dense fins. The fans use a hydraulic bearing fan with speeds ranging from 800-1,800 RPM, yielding airflow of 75 CFM and 2.3mmH2O (max) while producing 28dBA noise, according to the vendor. The voltage range is 7-12v. Looking at the backside of the fan, we can see a 4-arms assembly holding the blades and the center. One of the arms has a widened body as it carries the power cable.




    The 120mm fans have an all black frame with nine white blades. There is a Raijintek brand logo sticker in the middle of the fans. The included PWM fans have unique ribbed edge fan blades that suppress air turbulent noise with geometry optimized for both air flow and pressure. This ensures maximum performance with the lowest possible noise.



    On each corner of the fan/s you'll find rubber pads, which will minimize movement and noise when installed in your system.



    The fans have also a RGB 5-volt header. You can connect all the three fans to a single 4-pin PWM fan header after using the splitter cable.




    A Closer Look

    Being a 360mm radiator, it's no surprise to learn that with critical dimensions of 410x120x29mm (LxWxD) the EOS 360 RBW is a bit of a big bugger. You'll definitely need to ensure you have a long enough space for mounting the radiator.



    Like most all-in-one liquid coolers on the market, the Raijintek EOS 360 uses an aluminum radiator. The really interesting dimension in there though is the thickness. At just 29mm thick, the EOS 360 RBW is actually quite slim and is going to fit into quite a lot of spaces that other rads might not.



    The radiator uses a high fin density of 20 FPI, along with 12 channels to move the water through the radiator. Cooling like this comes down to surface area, which is a good sign here. The far-head of the radiator has a sticker pasted on it as can be seen in the below picture.



    16mm OD reinforced Teflon tubing, with braided sleeving. The braided sleeve (16mm OD reinforced) over the hoses is always an excellent touch for these type of coolers.



    Also, we have pure black wires coming from the pump and the fans. I always hate seeing splashes of red, blue and yellow at the base of connectors when colored wires are used. SATA header.



    RGB 5-volt header.



    On top of the cold plate is durable housing, along with an ABS plastic shell and metallic paint cover that lets the 5V ARGB LEDs shine through. This connects to your motherboard through an ARGB header and can be controlled via the motherboard software. Perfect for matching up with those clockwork designs on ASRock motherboards.



    The frame look like Beyblade. The new design uses a ceramic axis-bearing high head pressure pump (1.5m) at the base of the radiator that's capable of moving up to 40 L/H. According to Rajintek the pump contains a reliable Ceramic Axis Bearing to provide super silent operation and a life expectancy of 50,000 hours, with a pressure head of 1.5m.



    The oversized cold plate measures 68 x 65 x 40mm, which is a larger area on most- however, we do not see support for AMD's TR4 CPU socket support, which is surprising. Additionally, the EOS' full copper block uses micro-fin channels for heat dissipation and water flow over the CPU.




    Installation Process

    Installing the Raijintek EOS 360 RBW is a simple affair. First, prepare the backplate and the pump by securing the backplate screws with the plastic clips and the proper mounting arms with the four included screws. Now is also a good time to mount the radiator so it's fully secure. Next you must putt the four cross metal caps in place over the backplate's screws. After that, apply some thermal compound in preparation to mounting the heatsink itself. With all four firmly in place, you can mount the CPU block and tighten it with four additional cross metal caps. Like the majority of all-in-one liquid CPU coolers, the EOS 360 RBW offered perfect clearance for not only system memory but the graphics card as well.



    All that remains is to install the fans and connect all the wiring. Thankfully, Raijintek's RGB lighting setup is fairly simple, which makes setting everything up quick and easy, and the wiring mess is kept to a minimum.



    Overall illumination is excellent with Raijintek managing to avoid going down the blinding neon rave road. Instead, they delivered a subtle glow that avoids being off-putting.

    I am testing the performance as follows:

    Ambient temperatures are kept at 23C throughout my tests.
    The CPU Fan is set to 100% to eliminate inconsistencies as a result of PWM control.
    Idle temperatures are obtained after booting the PC and idling on the desktop for 30 minutes.
    Load temperatures are obtained after running Prime95′s Small FTTs test for 15 minutes.
    To measure noise levels i disable the two front in-take fans, rear exhaust and GPU fan.
    On the following pages you'll have the opportunity to read what EOS 360 RBW is capable of.



    Temperature Results

    Stock performance on this cooler was far better than I expected, which is obviously a good thing. The new Raijintek AIO water cooling with the large 360mm radiator clearly stands out and clearly wins the comparison to the tower coolers. Immediately, the Raijintek EOS 360 RBW shows promise as we see it providing thermal results that are better than the Noctua NH-D15, as well as edging out some other 360mm AIOs in the Fractal Design Celsius S36 and Antec Mercury 360 RGB.



    Dialing up the heat separates the men from the boys when it comes to any CPU cooler, but the EOS 360 RBW putting out temperatures that compete with the best of the best!




    Noise Level Results

    Every cooler that has moving parts produce some level of noise. It can be the fans or even the pump head that is the source of the noise. It varies from cooler to cooler. In our test, we measured a noise level of around 37-45 dBA, which seems to mainly come from the fans, which have been set to 1800 RPM.



    Here, the Raijintek EOS 360 RBW is not able to compete with the air coolers that produce significantly less noise in our tests. It's not that big of a surprise, since smaller fans usually produce more noise, and the large 140 mm fans on the Noctua NH-D15 will always have an advantage here. We also had a serious amount of noise from Corsair's and NZXT's 360mm models.


    Final Thoughts

    Raijintek, known for their cost-effective approach to component cooling, has hit the nail on the head in terms of price to performance. When it comes to Raijintek's latest all-in-one closed-loop liquid cooler, there is a great deal to like. First off, the cooling is perfectly fine. The cooling performance isn't breaking new ground, but it's toe-to-toe with the best and that's no bad thing. When overclocked, the EOS 360 RBW didn't even break a sweat. In our test, the EOS 360 RBW outperforms even the best air coolers. Even some other 360mm AIOs are unable to keep up, when overclocking the system. So from the cooling perspective, we have been pleasantly surprised by Raijintek EOS 360 RBW - the cooling performance with the processor in a tweaked state is really nice and it shines with actual stress and increased voltage cooling capacity. That's the good stuff when overclocking. Noise levels are also acceptable-not quite as good as the air cooling competition, they are close enough to be a non-issue. The Raijintek EOS 360 RBW is also quite easy to install. It is far from the easiest installation, but is still a straightforward process that requires a bit of patience since the backplate must be held in place when first installing the pump. The design is certainly unique, and while at the core it's just a standard 360mm AIO, the unique pump design, some stylish looking white fans, all these things add up to a great looking product that's sure to be a compliment to your system build. The black design will make this kit look great in any PC. As for the RGB aspect, I found it quite appealing. Raijintek's offering has a tastefully illuminated pump and fans. All popular AMD and Intel mounting sockets are supported but that not includes support for AMD Ryzen Threadripper.



    The cooling market is very competitive and there's no shortage of great AIO coolers to choose from these days. There are very few, if any, 360mm All in One liquid coolers on the Market today that offer the performance of this cooler at that price point (€90). This is actually cheaper than both the NH-D15 chromax.black(€100) and the NH-U12A(€105) from Noctua. Especially if you're planning a budget build, but you'd like to squeeze an all in one cooler in, I honestly couldn't think of a 360mm all in one I'd recommend more. Overall, if you want a 360mm closed-loop liquid cooler that offers great performance, acceptable noise levels, and RGB lighting, it is fair to say Raijintek has you covered with the EOS 360 RBW. However, if your case doesn't have room for a larger radiator, Raijintek has a 240mm model to meet your need. We haven't yet tested the other size, but given that they're based around similar designs as the 360 model, and pricing seems quite reasonable, Raijintek could have a big hit on its hands with this new lineup.

    Nice Review! I use the 120 mm fans from these guys on all my rads in my current box, they work well, and are really quiet.
