    So am I..., results anyways.
It looks good, not great for gaming, but probably close enough to make a decent rig.
Something I think that is finally worth upgrading to if you're still on a really old amd gen.

Looking forward to the benches if anyone here gets one.

2 things I don't like, the price, $2k is just too much, $1k and $500-600 would be fine.
    And the wattage, 150w+.
A few more years though we'll be rocking amd again.
Not sure if I'm gonna go that route though, but I might buy it for my brother, just so I can mess with it plus he'll need an upgrade anyways from that old 1090t of mine.
I'm personally going to stick with intel.

I'm waiting for tigerlake, that's what I'm looking forward too.
The last gen that has all the main instruction sets, heard the 7nm after that will be dumping some.
It all depends on what still runs on that next gen.

I am looking forward to having 32 or 64 threads as a standard though, at least for high end.

Keep a close eye on the Enermax Liqtech TR4 cooler. I had it installed in a Thermaltake core x9 case so the motherboard is mounted flat. The Enermax sprung a leak which allowed the coolant to run down into motherboard. I disassembled everything and dried it out but my AsRock x399 will no longer post.

    @theoldtimer ... That sucks...
Can you get a quick return on the mobo?
Or do you have to buy a new one..

I always pretested my loops for a bit outside a case..
I've only had aio so far..., I wouldn't wanna hose my parts..., the 280 I have makes sounds that freak me out sometimes, either an air bubble or something else, the NZXT Kraken X60 or whatever..
It should be ok if the rig was off, you just need to dry it for a few hours.

You can actually wash most parts with in a bath mixed with some simple green (or mean green if you don't have the other).
Then dry with towel, hair dryer/heat gun, and a fan.
Let set I think it was 4 hrs, not sure what it was anymore.
The issue is it gets water under the chips, caps and etc (socket...).
But once it's dry it's better then new..., except for the cap age of course, but they'll be fine.
(I'm not recommend you waste your time losing your warranty on this, I'm just explaining what can be done..)

Obviously you wanna discharge it before you do something like that.
You could probably do the same with phones for example, just not sure about the screen, and it's probably not going to be discharged so it would be screwed.

Anyways I think you should try to get an exchange on that mobo asap.
When going aio, I'de personally stick with corair, nzxt, and perhaps the ek aio setups.
    Name brand...
Enermax is name brand in psu's...

I'm still waiting on the Enermax RMA. I'll let them replace it. The Enermax cooler worked great until it leaked.

Mine has been running great and keeps the 1950x cool even under full load... Here's to hoping it doesn't leak! Though, I'll probably have a custom loop before long.

Totally different! it's so freaking awesome haha h
honestly i don't know what to do with all these cores but it sure feels good to have so many of them

Highest I can go so far is 4.05ghz at 1.38v but I am still undecided if I want to OC or not, it seems like it's just fine with stock + XFR, not to mention at 4ghz power consumption is 300w!

    Some more cinebench at 4.05ghz

here's my temporary rig, still waiting for the right case for the big rad. i've grown tired of it hanging at the back

Shot of system using my phone (currently have AURA set to change LEDs for temp...)

Tweaked a few things and got 4.135ghz and better CB score. Switched RAM to Trident-Z 3200mhz 32GB Quad Channel kit as well as using latest BIOS.

Whats the max temps for prime stable clocks on that beastly RAD.

I'm using A 5 HEATPIPE heatercore fanless/w built on block, and 2 tfc 360mm radiators fanless, browsing and youtube shows a ambient temp reading.

temps are still high despite the big rad. i don't think anything can cool this down at full stresst test and still keep it at 68c

ambient temps at 29c, short test only

What kind of fans are those, core temp is higher than socket.
Maybe a better block is needed or more volume of water, that monsta 420 should be good for 2kw.
A submersible will let you find out how much water is needed to drop temps.
4 liters should do the trick. If temp go pass threshold quicker than 5min you can always add more rad.
400MM res and 2x 280/40 rads look like they would fit.

I just left the vcore on auto. it will ramp up as clocks go up. All my Ryzen rigs do that. Now, yes, I could fine tune the clock and vcore. But for quick benches, it hasn't been needed. I'm also not seeing very high temps so...

i'm still using old yateloon fans, they seem to be fine but perhaps its time to get some new high static pwm fans (Corsair ML140, Phanteks F140MP). though i have already ordered some cheap arctic pwm fans to replace the olds ones but we'll see if its good enough.

i think during the stress testing, cpu vcore was just too much that's why the heat was uncontrollable

that's nice! just change the multiplier and you're done. i wish i could do that with my mobo but i tried setting it to 4.0ghz and my pc just freezes on boot. only manual oc works

so i ran prime again to test the cooling capacity but this time i set the clocks to 3.9ghz 1.3v (previously 4.0ghz 1.4v)

first ten minutes, ambient is 29c (but i think it was around 26-27c)

after one hour, ambient was a little cooler this time 24c

    and idle after test

seems like with old fans are still fine, for now. once i add my gpu to the loop i need to have better fans

i think i saw your youtube benchmark for this run! awesome CB score flanker, it's certainly unreachable for a lot of people. Cinbench is your specialty anyways

some updates on my rig, updated with some RGB fans and strips. now my 1950x runs a lot cooler with all the rainbow haha
