    New build help

    Hello guys,

It's been years since the last time I have been around (also years since I have built a new pc) I have some hardware lying around and I want to complete a new PC let me tell you what I have, what I need and what I want it for.

    I have a 512gb SSD 960 evo or pro (can't remember) m2 stick.
a corsair or evga 1000 or 1200w psu
    Corsair massive obsidian 900D case
    a STRIX GTX1070
    a 21:9 lcd

so I need a cpu, motherboard and ram

what I need a desktop pc for?

    well

Lightroom raw from a 50mp camera
    Photoshop
    Resolve same as premiere pro
Premiere Pro 4K footage from Phantom 4 pro, Mavic Pro, GoPro....
    Gaming (some at least)

What is my budget none, don't have one in mind, meaning I can splurge a bit getting something nice

I was looking into the i9 realm at 12-14 cores with a nice mobo (dont need a 500$ mobo) 16-32gb of ram I think is good enough

so what do you guys recommend ?

    Thanks

What are your storage needs for this system? If you do not need a bunch of pci-e you need to look at TR or 2066, otherwise 9900k will do better since it has better since thread and you get quick sync. Just make sure you get a board with 2 phases of VRM for the igp.

storage not much I have a NAS with 10 HDD and 60TB

I'm more concerned about Premiere Pro handling everything smooth (playback with colour correction warp etc) and maybe some renders on SketchUp, 3Dmax or cad for my girlfriend

AMD TR 2 might be an option too, but from what I've seen Intel is still ahead

If you want to have smooth preview scrubbing you need strong single thread, so get the 9900k. Premier also really likes NVME, that is why I asked about storage.
