Lightbulb igloo 2 - 10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY - Going to do it again....

Well I have decided to do this again for it's 10th anniversary.
I did this back in 2008-2009 and it really honed my OC tuning skills.

The cool thing about this rig is you can cool everything from the whole system with outside air to specific components with cpu and other water blocks. It's the best of both worlds. Plus i get to tune my equipment and when the weather starts to break i use my SS Phaze the my Dragon F1 Extreme Dark Anodized Green,,, SO IT'S A NICE PROGRESSION.

    Link to 2009 Igloo 1

I will make some Mods based on what I learned,
but here was the 2008 idea.... [it rocked]

PREMISS: Using outside air, to pump it into a sealed case and cool everything then exhaust the warmer air. The setup has to not leak cool air so that I don?€™t freeze out my family. It?€™s 1c right now. Plus I feel the cool air will reduce the dew point when switching to Anti Freeze Cooling.
I have put this in water-cooling since I am moving to antifreeze in a week, but want to do some air tests to work the bugs out.

Anti Freeze Cooling. I have a 120.3 and 120.2 in a bucket of Antifreeze and Distilled water outside my benching window, I am using 4?€? dryer duct , 2 intake and 2 exhaust to move the air in and out. I am running my hoses thru one of the intake hoses to keep them very cold and not forming any condensation, plus it will lead to my intake module and my Swiftech 1u acrylic Resi and my Little Giant pump. From there they will go to my CPU waterblock and some Koolance Ram Coolers then back out to the outside rads. The loop will be.
    >pump>rad1>rad2>cpu block>mem cooler>resi>pump> and non of this will be exposed to inside air.

I used a modified Mountian Mods H2go but this time i might use a
Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - High Air Flow Test Bench and LAN Box
I need to dream a little and decide by thanksgiving.

I think i might go with the CoolerMaster Plus i need a Watercool MO-RA2 Core or MO-RA3
big honking radiator - no need for fan mounts...
or one of those monster radiators, anyone have one...

Pictures of the 2009 build, which worked great...

Thread: [PROJECT] Mountian Mods H2go "igloo"

Hope you enjoyed that, some 2008 -09 winter fun

Now i will do it again better, 10 years later.

    More to come.....

I looking to find a WATERCOOL MO-RA2 CORE or a WATERCOOL MO-RA3 CORE,

Anyone have one laying around to help get this project off the ground, i'm willing to trade or buy it reasonable.

I have picked out my case, it is posted below, I am also building the housing and Dryer duct to connect to the window and out.

I will have pictures soon, taking them all the time.

I would rather use one big honking radiator then 2 smaller 420's (3x140's) just to keep the system a little simpler.

So if anyone knows or has a WATERCOOL MO-RA2 CORE or a WATERCOOL MO-RA3 CORE,

    PLEASE CONTACT ME......

    thanks bunches

Found My case --- Cooler Master HAF XB EVO

    I have chosen my case.....
Cooler Master HAF XB EVO -
High Air Flow Test Bench and LAN Box Desktop Computer Case with ATX Motherboard Support

I learned a few things on the cooling flow that I will use on the Igloo2.
I am going with 3 Entry Tubes and only 2 Exhaust tubes to keep the air pressure up....
So the heat won't dissipate so easily.

It's kind hard to understand till I start posting pictures, but the Cooler Master HAF XB EVO will give me the side entry like the Igloo1
but it will also give me front air movement and also top down air movement from the Cardboard casing I am building around the case.
I am still debating about using the back as an entry point too, but I think with the Side, Front and top all pushing outside air into the case, it would be just over kill...
Plus with a cardboard shell, it will be easy to modify if i choose to, but again I feel it will be overkill.

As this project progresses, i am getting very excited. I have picked out several boards to try in the Igloo2 but we will talk about that down the road.

This case is going to work out great. I actually have 2 of them...

So now Case is chosen, Looking for WATERCOOL MO-RA2 CORE or a WATERCOOL MO-RA3 CORE,

So if anyone knows or has one PLEASE CONTACT ME......

    thanks

What a Goof, Found an old build while looking for ..... The Intel Skulltrail D5400XS

Imagine my surprise, Here i am looking for a a few pictures of the Cooler Master HAF XB EVO and systems built in the Cooler Master HAF XB EVO -
just to show as reference for this build.....

Them BAM out of nowhere, i just googled the Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - and was looking thru the pic's and I saw a system I built back in 2013 with the Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - ....
Sweetness, time to save those photo's it's so cool.....

and guess what, It was a Skulltrail in it, wish I had that bad boy now!!!!!
Wow, i am still a little wak, that is a blast from 2013.....

    Not a bad build either/.

Here is a component List of the Skulltrail System.

    HERE IS THE CPUz LINK
    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2721248

    - Intel BOXD5400XS Dual LGA 771 Intel 5400 (Skulltrail) Extended ATX Motherboard
    - (2) Intel? Xeon? Processor E5472 (12M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 1600 MHz FSB)
    - 2x4G of 8192 MB FB-DDR2 @ 5-5-5-15
    - OS Drive 80G Raptor 10k SATA + WD 500G 2.5 SATA Drive
    - COOLER MASTER HAF XB Desktop Computer Case
    - ThermalTake 1200W Toughpower 80PLUS ModularSilver Power Supply
    - EVGA GTX 460 (Fermi) Superclocked 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 Video Card
    - Driver Disc
    - 2 Hot Swapable Drive Bays
    - CD/DVD Burner
    - Lamptron Fan Controller

Plus my write up, because i sold it, I seem to sell everything to get more and more stuff, then get it back, like a big circle.

The Intel Skulltrail D5400XS is a Intel High End Dual CPU Server Motherboard.
If your in Video or Film Editing or just a computer buff, you know of the skulltrail.
I used the coolest case i could find and that is the Cooler Master HAF XB so it's in a Brand New Very Cool Case.
I used 2 Blue led Silent Cooler Master fans in the front and 1 in the back
plus 2 Sunbeam Blue Crome 80mm fans in the back bottom. I like to keep the same color scheme
through our the whole build. I put in Solid ThermalTake 1200W Toughpower 80PLUS ModularSilver Power Supply since it takes 2 -12v connections on the Skulltrail.
the CPU's are 2 very sweet Intel? Xeon? Processor E5472 (12M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 1600 MHz FSB), yes i said ther are 2 CPU's in this build
These are Server Class CPU's to go with the Server Class Motherboard, the Skulltrail. I added nice 4X2G = 8G of Ram with custom thermaltake heatspreaders,
the kind with the heatpipe coming off the heatsink and going back down the RAM with lots of cooling fins.
I also chose 2 Intel Extreme Coolers that were for the Extreme versions of their chips, the are very good and have a nice blue glow
so it went well with the overall build. Then i put a very nice EVGA GTX 460 (Fermi) Superclocked 1GB 256-bit GDDR5
Well i think i gave a good description, don't hesitate to PM or email me with your questions. This is a High End System
I took care and put a lot and thought into it's build, so you will be getting not only a good system but a Unique creation
from myself, so Enjoy, you won't be disappointed!

oh the memories.... Or lost memories....

Here is it in all it's glory over on TPU.... -

Just a little off topic life event, wow.....

So now Case is chosen, Looking for WATERCOOL MO-RA2 CORE or a WATERCOOL MO-RA3 CORE,

So if anyone knows or has one PLEASE CONTACT ME......

    thanks
