    With Zen 2, the NUMA disadvantage should disappear and so the benches affected by it, such as 7-Zip compression, should no longer be so.

    That does nothing for these CPUs, so there that ...

    Yeah, the 2 biggest drawbacks of threadripper 2, weird and high latencies + somewhat low clocks comapred to intel are gonna be fixed in Ryzen3/TR3 +2x faster avx on top.Im waiting out this year.But really have high hopes for the third ones .TBH i would want a 16 core TR3 on 4 channel memory with pcie4(a high possibility with a new mobo), this setup should last like a decade.
