    power module for vapochill

    Hi guys,

I am in the process of reviving a vapochil lightspeed . looking for a replacement or an alternative power module for the chillcontrol

I have attached image of the power module.

with this component not working, its causing the compressor to shut off.

Any advice would be most appreciated

    kind regards

Can you wire up a standard mains switch to the compressor so it's always on? That should get you going with the controller bypassed.

I've noticed a 230v sticker on that board. Are you in the UK? Our mains voltage is a little over 240v and can sometimes burn out components that are running close to their limits, like solid state relays (I think that's what that big blue thing is, but it could be a transformer). It could even be that the little mechanical relay above it has worn out if the Vapochill has seen a lot of action. It looks too small to be switching a compressor, but it could be! It's likely a simple fix to get this going again, as there aren't a lot of parts that could go wrong.

I'm no electronics engineer but I've fixed a few PSU's and amps in my day and I'm now moving on to older motherboards. I could buzz through your board with a multimeter to help figure it out if you wanted to send it to me in London?
