Hey everyone. Man, this place is like family to me. I learned so much and met so many great people from here. I am just getting back into the scene and its amazing to see some of the familiar names still posting and then seeing the likes of Vince on youtube. It is amazing to see how mainstream overclocking, watercooling, delidding, etc has become. I am glad to see you guys are still around, i wont ever forget this forum.

The latter part of your statement first: It was the best. That was it - the complete alpha and omega for a computer hardware site. You could come here without knowing anything about assembling a computer and leave knowing about LN2 overclocking in one day - if you loved computers and tech. You could find a mentor right from finding and inserting RAM to help you build the finest complete OC computer of your dreams.

To the first part, I think that if this form has visual components like YouTube and easier audio/visual communication as part of the forum architecture, something more easily obtainable in mobile devices, it could help rebuild the community.

The data base getting corrupted by people using an exploit on the forum software kind of killed it. We lost a good year+ of content and it was down long enough to remove it from peoples habits.

Forced me to close registration and vb stopped updates on our version, one version came out after and no social media integration. If they had SM integration we would have been better off.

The database is still useful as it is full of keywords, I worked on my SEO so we maintain ~ 700 online all the time and we often hit 1500ish daily.

I wanted to re open registration, I had hoped the exploits on this platform would have been fixed.

I lived on the news board and have no idea what you are talking about?? Maybe i just missed that part; I think the hack and now with no way for new member to enter community its just us old guys that grew up here.

The sad part is there isnt any other forum like this one once was; the closest you can get is a bunch of n00bs on reddit reminding everyone that they might void their warranty LOL

Just chiming in =). Am not a very active member, but this forum was really amazing. I always thought this forum moved to a more "mass media" friendly platform such as YouTube, but alas, it has not. If any of the regulars will set up a YT tech channel, and continue to showcase their stuff/activities, I'd be subscribing asap. Always great to see some extreme LN2 cooling and jerry-rigged ACs being strapped to PCs.

Eh, bored, logging in for a moment.
For some reason the forum thinks I've been active lol, most of the threads were greyed out like I already read it.

Anyways that fuggin' hack sucked.
I lost a handful of notes I needed to get my rig back up and running 100%.
Anyways it doesn't matter now.

At least one of my 4gb ddr3 gskill sticks went completely dead.
I'm running on 24gb for now, I need the memory.
That was a nice surprise though, wake up one morning, black screen, go running, come back and still notta.

And this d2mn quick release mem slots annoy me to no end.
I don't know why I have so much trouble with them, but I can spend a half hour or more trying to get them to post right.

Same rig from 2013'ish.., I'm surprised it's still going.
Linux 24/7 though now.
I even made a mem timing dumper but it's missing cmd rate and mem ratio.
