Upcoming Windows 10 Task Manager Update to Show Power Usage, Power Usage Trend per Pr

    https://www.techpowerup.com/245602/u...nd-per-process

One nifty new feature currently being deployed to Windows 10 Fast Ring users is the ability to see exactly how much power a given process is consuming in your system's hardware (CPU, GPU & Disk). The new feature, which appears as two additional Task Manager tabs, showcases the instantaneous power usage of a given process, but also features a trend calculator that covers a two-minute interval. This should be pretty handy, if the measurement process is close enough to the real power consumption. This could even be used as another flag for cryptomining malware or scripts in a given webpage. You can check the source for the additional updates that have been brought to build 17704 of the Windows Insider Program.

Win 10 is the best Win OS for me too. Only problem for me is %100 disk usage which is not a frequent problem.

1.boot time with win7 is 11 second. win10 is 45 second. instant shut down win7 or 8 but with win10 circle keep rolling.
all this tested with same hardware and bios settings.
2.ntoskrnl eating cpu on my notebook that is running win10. did all the suggestions on the net but hell with that. considering downgrading to 7or8
3.tried to disable few services like window update or similar but its come back to auto without you knowing its consuming ur bandwidth and resources

will put some more input later

I run several machine types here, mostly dual cpu workstations. These are slow booting but its the platform.
On my Threadripper systems I get in the 11-15 second boot times and pretty close to instant shut downs.

All my systems are fully loaded software wise, apps like Kaspersky, Office 365 etc all add to boot and shut down times.

I understand many users have specific requirements for apps and some apps just prefer Win 7, its not surprising.

Windows Update is a common thing many complain about. I believe this goes back to another common issue people had with Win 7. so many had updates turned off or simply did not do it, this caused huge security issues with un-updated platforms. A very large number of people I helped had simply not ever done an update and wondered my they had virus loaded machines. I think this is MS's answer to that... now you have to Update at some point. It does give you warnings which you can delay but at some point its to bad, we are updating.

I'm not convinced. boot/shut time is still a problem. also so many updates. I don't get it regardless of space been used by these updates. more damage to user settings and performance problems.

leave alone other tweaks just one simple problem can't be sorted with my win10 notebook process running as "system" using constant 40% cpu all the time. I used all registry b**sht things but still running. this note book is useless to work with anymore. I bought with latest win10 thought is the latest M$ sorry I was so disappointed.
