    n00b Question

    LOL! im jus getting into benching and i was just wondering if hdd speed makes any diffrence in 3dmark2001, i have a 20g from newegg i was gonna use, but my moms main comp has a 8g hdd that has 2g left and i was thinking about copying that drive to teh 20g and use the 8g for my bench rig until i can get a raptor

    no, it doesnt make difference. thats wise decision to use old hdd, because i almost killed mine benching at -15 degrees.

    i usually take it out from my pc and cover with something to keep it warm, but i just got my new gfx and i was so excited, so i forgot

    i used to have 5400rpm haad htan i got a 7200rpm and i gained about 3k in 3dmark

    Was the 5400rpm windows install old and the 7200rpm a fresh install? I doubt going from 5400rpm to 7200rpm alone would get 3k marks.
