How to Mod for Special Fun of Overclocking from your LGA775 Motherboard

I love overclocking, and LGA775 too.

I always like to find a different way for fun of overclocking, or you can call trouble , so I keep studying hardware modification, never get tired.

I'm going to share my mod s and problems, include pin mod, bios mod and so on. That may would be a long paper.

If you back me up, my firends, let me know please

Second topic is about Intel Conroe CPU + P5WD2 Premium 955x.

This mobo did not officially support any Conroe CPU, in fact, so do all ASUS i955x mobo:

    https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5.../HelpDesk_CPU/

Now, by my mod, what you will see

I have to say, I did those things just for fun and for research, no offence

Mod P5WD2-P for Conroe, you need CPU pinmod and BIOS mod.

What CPU pinmod for? For voltage problem: VRD, VRDSEL, VCCPLL

    How to do CPU pinmod?

    1. VRD pinmod is not necessary, depend on real Vcore, need no VID mod if Vcore was good.

    2. VRDSEL pinmod:

    3. VCCIOPLL pinmod: use VCCIOPLL as VCCPLL

How do we know pinmod work or not? We need mobo POST card.

Before pinmod, E2140 didn't work on P5WD2-P, because no POST code.

After pinmod, we can see POST code

The reason why POST code stuck at D5 in this case, is that BIOS rom needs CPU patch.

The ID of CPU patch for E2140 L2 is 06F2-5A, we can get that patch from any P35 or P45 mobo's latest AMI BIOS rom file.

After CPU patch inserted, we can move on to code C2, that was the farest place where many OCer can go, they all stop at this

Just leave BIOS mod aside, I will post video later.

Let's see Conroe + P5AD2-E Premium 925XE, this mobo did not offically support even Pentium D, let alone Conroe

But now, what the hell happened
