Lap the CPU to 2000 grit and you will get lower TD between cores and overall.

Is that worth it, when you can buy a new IHS for like $20?

In chosing the fans i have go for the one with highest Static Pressure

Enermax Twister Pressure High-Performance Fan: static pressure of 1,709 mm-H₂O
Noctua NF-F12 Indu. 3000 PWM: static pressure of 7,63 mm H₂O

As cooling paste i will use Gelid GC-Extreme

Lapping the cpu is still a step to far for me..

    Found a nice test with a Enermax Twister D.F. Pressure : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ELKu3qQ5Bc

2000RPM 81,7CFM 24dB 2,858 mm H₂O for 16,90Euro is also a very nice fan with a good Static pressure and even silent!
So yes..this one in push-pull configuration is something to think about..
