[News/Rumor] Rumor: Intel Tiger Lake And Ice lake Will Feature 8 Cores And 16 Threads

    https://segmentnext.com/2017/10/03/i...lake-ice-lake/

According to the rumor, the Tiger Lake Core i7 9750K will be based on the 10nm+ process and will be based on the LGA 1161 socket which will have 10 more pins than the 1151 socket that the current Coffee Lake series of CPUs are based on. The CPU will have a base clock of 4.5 GHz and will be able to boost to 5 GHz.

This is a rumor and has yet to be confirmed so do take this information with a grain of salt. Keep in mind that Coffee Lake CPUs will be released on the 5th of October so it is still pretty early to be speculating about the CPU that will be coming out in 2019. You can check out the details in the image below:

Ha! We don't even clearly know when Cannonlake is going to be released and what it is going to offer, let alone Icelake and Tigerlake.

Is Cannonlake a mobile only cpu? - original road maps indicate yes....but nothing is concrete about this.

Will a desktop Cannonlake cpu come out in 2018? If yes, then you can bet Icelake is a 2019 cpu and Tigerlake is a 2020 cpu so this supposed road map is off.

be interested to see whether any additional information comes out to collaborate that list.

also read a rumour that there will be a cfl 8 core chip... although the above linked list looks rather ....exciting.
