I mean, there's 2 more cores.... What they did they expect would happen?

That's not even that great of scaling when you think about it.

Obvious and yet they make an article saying what is obvious. Amazing.

it will have lower full turbo clocks to keep the wattage the same so scaling is fine.

I'm not really surprised about this at all either.

50% more cores, lower clocks, nearly 50% more performance.

I wish that there would be more focus on single or low threaded performance. I'm already tired of the Core-Peen trend, probably because I simply don't utilise them XD

So why is it customary to post specs in sigs anyway?

In other news, 6 cores > 4 cores.

some of those scores make the 7800x look pretty good.

8700k...will be slightly better oc than 7800x ? im guessing. plus the motherboard is cheaper than x299.

im just weighing these two options ...

    7800x is a product that shouldn't exist
8700k is almost what intel desperately hoped that 7800x could have been...
9700k was supposed to be the 8700k, really, but 10nm is hard
    Sigs are obnoxious.
