    Not impressed by its performance to be honest. It's like 5-10% faster than AMD's Threadripper at a much higher cost which isn't really worth the price. And not to mention the massive power consumption isn't really worth it. Horrible pricing from Intel as usual and the price they are asking for such a small performance gain is just ridiculous.

    This seems pretty simple, if you want HCC, get thread ripper, if you want IPC, wait for coffee lake.

    x299 seems to only exist because of TR. I want to build a new intel sys right now, the 7820x looks interesting, but I don't see why i wouldnt just wait for CL and get higher IPC and 2 less cores.
