7700K has more powerful IPC per core, higher mhz , and in most games faster than ryzen.So its pretty evident why they use it in vega presentation.
If it were up to me, i would use 6900K at 4,5ghz.But kabylake should be not much slower.
Anyhow i dont get what are you upset about, that they use best cpu to present their new card or because they officially disclose it ? And why is this reddit post sponsored ?
If anything thats a shameful thing for them, to present their gpus using competitors cpus.

I don't have a problem with it given it was disclosed literally in the first bullet. Would be far more shady if they didn't mention it at all.
Ryzen was never marketed as being faster than the 7700k in gaming. It was sold as being much better value (and in most applications it is).
