Introduction

Noctua is one of the most well-liked companies in the enthusiast market and they have an excellent reputation in high performance fan and CPU cooler technologies. They have been dominating the cooling market with their top-notch products such as the NH-D14, NH-U14S and NH-D15S to name a few. Enthusiasts love Noctua's fans and their CPU coolers because they are near-silent and perform exceptionally well.Today we are going to look at Noctua's A-Series accessories which include new SAV3,NA-SAV4 and NA-SAC5.Noctua's new SAV3 and NA-SAV4 silicone anti-vibration mounts work with both standard open and closed corner fans 10mm to 25mm in thickness. Finally, there is a new SATA to 4-pin power adaptor cable (NA-SAC5) for those of you that want to run high-wattage fans directly from the SATA connectors on your power supply.

Packaging & Contents

The accessories arrived in black little boxes.The box itself is well made and sturdy with just the product name on the front and a simple specification sheet on the back.



In the back of the box has a large sticker with a picture of the product.



Each box of the NA-SAV3,NA-SAV4 comes with 16 silicone anti-vibration mounts for up to 4 fans.The presentation is very good and the two boxes include a black foam on its base.



It includes a sheet with a brief explanation of its assembly in the case.



The NA-SAC5 box includes only S-ATA to 4-pin power adaptor cable for fans.




A Closer Look

Fans installed with standard fan screws can transmit minute vibrations to the PC case, which can lead to annoying resonance noises. Switching standard fan screws for NA-AV3 mounts can drastically reduce these structure-borne noises by effectively decoupling the fan from the PC case.Compared to conventional single-side anti-vibration mounts, the NA-AV3’s double-side design makes them much easier to work with in space-restricted environments or placements where the fan’s mounting holes are difficult to reach.



The use of premium-grade silicone makes the NA-AV3 mounts both extra soft and highly tear-proof, allowing them to combine efficient decoupling with excellent longevity and ease of use.Thanks to its five defined, numbered pawls, the NA-AV3 mounts are convenient to install even with 10, 14, 15 or 20mm deep fans (e.g. NF-A4x10, NF-A9x14, NF-A6x15, NF-A4x20) or 25mm fans with closed corners.

While double-sided anti-vibration mounts like the NA-AV2 or NA-AV3 are convenient to install in space-restricted environments, some users prefer the clean appearance of single-sided designs. Therefore, the NA-AV4 mounts are flush with the case panel and thus look tidier from the exterior.



The NA-SAC5 is a fully sleeved S-ATA to 4-pin power adaptor cable.



It is compatible with both 3-pin and 4-pin fans and allows them to be powered directly from the power supply’s S-ATA connectors.



Combined with the NA-SYC1 y-cables (available separately), it is ideal for powering multiple high-wattage fans without risking damage to the motherboard fan header.




Final Thoughts

The NA-SAV3 and NA-SAV4 mounts are stylish and very easy to use.When I was testing the anti-vibration mounts, once the fans reached max speed, I found the NA-SAV3 and NA-SAV4 mounts to help with eliminating vibrations coming from the case.With NA-SAC5 Noctua responds to users who wanted to be able to connect their fans directly to their power supply through the SATA connectors.



The NA-SAV3 and NA-SAV4 mounts are ideal for the vibration-free installation of all current Noctua fans as well as many third-party fans.Prices for the NA-SAV3,NA-SAV4 mounts and NA-SAC5 power adaptor are very fair in my opinion at EUR 7.90 / USD 7.90.
