The LTE edition should come close to Ti performance judging by price alone. If true that could be an encouraging sign, but this late in the game it should really be beating the Ti. Geez I feel like beating a dead horse here. C'maaan AMD.

From what i understand Liquid cooling Limited Edition, will be the same performance as normal Liquid cooling, but will have a special bundle with these holocube thingy and probably some other stuff.
TBH i just hope it beats 1080 on a regular basis and not in 3 games and 3dmark.

Lets just hope AMD can further improve power and performance to compete x Volta next year.

Just playing devils advocate here...But, I'm expecting Volta to be released between March-May 2018...considering how long it took AMD to get Vega out the door what makes you believe they will be able to compete with Volta in 2018?

When we first heard about Vega it was between 970 and 980. Then it began to compete with 980ti and now 1080 and 1080ti. 1.2 ghz air and 1.4ghz water for vega withh 350W+... IMO this means AMD spent Vega's all future performance overhead for competing with pascal. So they will need a new design which means a new R&D for competing with Volta. Can they spent money for another R&D this close... I hope so but...

Unless you're buying video cards 2nd hand years after the original product release not sure you're going to have much luck in the future finding any top tier cards under $400.
I meant the last time I bought a Nvidia card. 460 was priced just right and decent performance. As it was stated above if companies start charging insane prices just for the base card I would never upgrade again.

    The last 3 cards I bought would be 290x, (used) 480, and a 580.

But you are right about not playing games. When you have a 17 year old son he seems to get all the good stuff.

I guess you deserve an "at a boy" - you were right all along.

Though, I'm not sure Vega even wins on performance/watt so if that argument was supposed to be it's saving grace it's not looking good at all to say the least.
