    EVGA GTX 1080Ti Kingpin Edition!

It is the first and only pascal card with no voltage or power limits!!! You can now bench like vince with a HW bot legal card (when/if it really comes out.)

It's really nice looking but in 9 months Volta will be out to blow it out of the water - performance wise. Only worth it if you have the extra $$ lying around and are going LN2.

i doubt we will get big volta and unless they add on card scheduling again this will likely still be the fastest single gpu card.

I agree with zanzabar on this one.
It's very likely I think, that the 1st volta card will be advertised as high end, when it's actually mid range.
Like the 680, and the 1080.
It's a new chip design, it's isn't like maxwell v2 like the 1080 and ti are.
I think that'll make it worth a bit more.
It should perform a tad bit better then the 1080ti, but not enough to justify upgrading a titan or ti to the 1st volta card.

Then a year later the volta ti will come out.
    That's my guess.
Which will either give us hbm2 finally, or mess with us again and give us the totally awesome waste of time ddr6 lol...
Which actually how I think it will go, unless amd vega with it's hbm2 does something that nvidia cards can't with ddr5x ^^.

2018, volta mid range, ie v104 or whatever.
2019, volta high end, ie v102..~ ^^, or whatever ...
    That's what I'm thinking.

Unless it's early, and volta mid range comes out in oct/nov in time for christmas.
That would be to hit amd...
Because otherwise there's no reason for them to release it early otherwise.

The 1st volta should be a sub 200w card that performs like the upper 200w cards like the titan and ti.
