Impress me and win a free board (USA only)

As the title states. AMD sent me some R5 stuff to test along with a brand new ASUS Prime B350 Plus.

I already have one purchased on my own dime, I offered to ship it back they said nah you find a use for it.

What's more useful then sharing with the community.

Grab your old amd hardware out of storage overclock it on air/water and impress me.

USA only ( easier for me to ship )

    Bonus points for difficult boards.

    Bonus points for locked multis.

Bonus points for total platform performance tuning.

The Prize Brandy new virgin has that new car err silicon scent still.......

    The rules.....simple no cheating.

Crappy pic of date and name with screen of result in photo and a pic of the system so as to verify its not an old result dragged out of storage.

    Screenshot of the actual result.

1 week. Contest ends Sunday the 30th Midnight EST.

    I have a lpa and lpb board and 2x cpu's, mobile's.
    But they need recapped.
And then there's the psu..., an enermax, good one that's not the issue, issue is the caps are in unknown condition since I haven't powered it up it years, and my cat kinda messed the case up.
    No soldering iron yet.

I may have some older cpu's but probably no boards.
And those would be in the same condition if I did...

I honestly don't have the time for it this month or the money, mainly money.
But I wish luck to those that do have time and the rigs they can put together .

This gets me thinking about something again, it would be nice to have brackets for aio's on 754/939 and socket a (was it 462?).

If you break out the soldering station and mod or repair with pics?

    Bonus points!

Time to go back to the old days and real overclocking.

Would you take Gulftown results? I'm awaiting 16 core Ryzen or even Ryzen 2.0 but I would love to put together a nice little 6 core Ryzen

Richland 6790K considered old enough to play? ( I've been playing with the best stable OC on this recently - custom SFF water cooled - 4.7Ghz currently)
I'm not exactly stateside, but I have access to stateside shipping addresses if thats the only reason for USA only...

If theres any specify benches you'd like to see, I think I'll post some results regardless - haven't tried to go for high scores yet, mostly best stable scores.

Edit: For some high freq scores I'll toss the thing in the garage overnight - should get some close to freezing overnight temps in a few days.

I might take core2quad or bloomfield like i7 920. Chips that required fine tuning

Haven't played with pi before. Not sure if The Stilt's fix is allowed. This is still warm. Will retry with a cold loop some other time.

Thats a core 2 quad right? Sure go for it..it requires more than a wallet and multiplier to oc it

Use hwbot certified benchmarks. No modded pi please.

I will be comparing effeciency to hwbot results...

If you have stateside shipping fine. I,m not rich and international shipping is a pain for me.

Most people that have one...bought unlocked.

I have overclocked both. Gulftown is easy. Bloomfield is more complex.

No clue how they shrunk a die and magically gained 2 cores either...but feel free to explain it to me

I have benched intel in the past just to shut people up. They apparently assumed my skill only applied to amd...they were wrong..

    I just prefer AMD.

Ryzen is unlocked but as you test various benchmarks and fool with memory speeds and or configurations becomes quite complex.

So basically looking for someone that can show that ability as the platform will be a better fit for them...it also requires some modding or at least knowledge of measuring voltages correctly as currently software is completely unreliable...

Last but no least although i do not reccomend it....board will need mods for seriously pushing it....like phase dry ice ln2...if someone so chooses to go that route...

Spent the morning playing with a CB R15 overclock.

Commanded Vcore was getting a little high for my tastes at the 4.9 mark (1.528v) considering I can't really lose this APU at the moment.

Also got my 1M down another fraction:

Time to get back to studying (cause thats the smarter thing to do with my time currently)
Got 5 exams next week, and a pneumatic engine (capstone) I'd like to finish for when they go on display:

For some reason the WHQL catalyst is flagged, but its the most up to date, non beta driver?

A geekbench V4 cpu score that would be a great FM2 hwbot submission, but apparently win10 isnt allowed, so I'm SOL there (and for many others):

I tried this with the A10 - Its too sad of a result to post ..... I even tried to 'cheat' using the iGPU but its not GCN so it wouldn't do OpenCL.
If I had access to my Llano I would've liked to see how much better the stars uarch did compared to this PD. (Trinity took max oc of 4.5 to match my Llano @ 3.6 in various tasks, Blender looks like it favours the older uarch)

EDIT: So I went to ubuntu to see how it fared there...(I read some posts saying it was faster in linux)
Windows 10 = 189 sec, approx, off memory (will run again once I'm back there)
[edit2 = I was being generous, apparently. Actual: 215.76 sec]

Same 4.7 OC, no changes made but OS. Blender in w10 set to high priority, all unnecessary progs killed in TM.
    That difference is insane.
