After more trying to figure this post code 8 and why it kept popping up, even during benching.

I switched CPU coolers and the problem went away.

I used the correct mounting hardware with the EKWB but for some reason it causes CPU issues and I had some posting issues with it on GBT thinking it was the gbt board.

How can the EKWB AIO cause memory and posting issues with the AM4 socket? I am 100% positive now that this was the problem.

The backplate may be shorting the board out.

Yep, thats the same thing I was going through.

I removed the center portion after having no boot on GBT.

The rubber is thick had did not have any contact issues that I could see in all installations.

Maybe the rubber was what was doing the conducting - maybe check resistance with multimeter? Sometimes EDPM comes mixed with aluminum or carbon black.

    elmor says about CH6:
"EK Predator & Supremacy backplate issue

Using the EK Predator or Supremacy rubber gasket causes the board not to turn on or become unstable. Contact EK directly for a replacement."
