Crash during demo ? Of course, happened with Ryzen a few days ago, now with demo on Vega as well.
Did they prepare for this at all ?

I have to agree with you on this. Live demos no matter the cooling...The system should be controlled by an experienced overclocker.Originally Posted by BenchZowner

Not even when I ran a system with cpu and gpu on ln2 for 12 hours straight for a gaming demo for ASUS at pax east.
I can't even count how many times I have had to run a system on ln2 live for extremely extended periods of time. las vegas, atlantic city, taiwan just to name a few.
Its one thing when the demo is to chase a record on ln2 ( crashes are expected at the utmost limits ) a totally different thing when its not.
Its the responsibility of the person controlling the demo to know the limits of the hardware and when I was at the controls failure was not an option and to be quite honest would be rather humiliating.

It felt as awkward presenting a graphics card, being the official speaker on stage, and mumbling or even making mistakes on basic specs.
That bad.
If I was on the stage and something like that happened, I'd be hammered.

I much preferred the grunt work and ground work.
The only video I ever really did was the AMDiy video and on the terms that it was not rehearsed.
The topic was one of my choosing that we agreed upon and it was live and uncut.
I still jumbled up the word quakecon lol.
