Both are full RGB with software.

    Both are Cherry MX.

Both have pre set patterns to bring the keyboard to life.

Both have high quality cable, Asus is slightly nicer and removable (Micro USB).

Asus Claymore is slightly brighter, possible profile differences.

Corsair LUX will often have software failure and not resume color profile after sleep mode.

Asus Claymore has detachable number pad with larger volume knob.

Corsair has on/off buttons for more RGB control, Asus uses function + key to control lighting from the keyboard.

Both keyboards feel great, exactly the same.

    Asus Claymore is slightly heavier.

Asus Claymore is styled nicer and has a geometric patterning that is tactile.

They both have a nice default color scheme if you do not use the software.

The Corsair worked like a champ right out of the box, no issues at all.

The Asus Claymore had issues from first use, depressing any key would produce too many of that character in the OS or in BIOS, connected to any machine. But after software and firmware updates it resolved that issue, cost me 15 minutes of quality brain inactivity. I had to click the wrench in the "Armory" software to get the updates twice.

After a few days of testing one at home and one at the office I have come to the conclusion that the Corsair K70 is the better keyboard if you were to buy today. Asus is having some issues with key depression not registering the stroke or doubling the stroke. My keyboard has this issue and while playing games so I swapped home with work so that I had the Corsair for gaming.

    Winner: Corsair K70 RGB LUX

I will need to give Asus more time for another update in hopes it fixes my key depression issue.

After a few days of use all of the keys are working correctly on the Asus now.

Near perfect, a tough choice now. I still need to pilot a chopper to really be sure.

My steelseries 7g was notorious for double keystrokes the first year before settling down.

It took only a few days for the Asus to get broken in, it is perfect now.

I would have thrown it out the window if it would have taken longer to break in.

I can spin like a top (nose down) in an Apache in BF4 on both keyboards, perfect flight control from keyboard input.

I would love to replace my current keyboard (Logitech G710+) with either of those, they look very nice.

A friend has a Corsair and said it was an excellent keyboard, I guess I comes down to aesthetics in the end.

Do you miss the hand support that is not on the Asus?

The Claymore sits higher than the K70 so yes, I have noticed and I do miss it.

The K70 still has issue with waking up after sleep and not resuming LED function. Two different things happen, either complete lights off or WASD is lit like it is un programmed, rebooting the PC will fix for a while.

Actually, the light for the number lock on the SteelSeries will blind you. Once you use a good mechanical board it's hard or should I say impossible for me to consider anything else.
