After a few days in and out of the hospital and doctors visits I find out that Aspertame can kill me.

It causes my hands, arms, legs and feet to lock up. It is very painful to move or use my hands for days.

My kidneys are not filtering it out and it is entering my blood stream causing havoc. I was also warned that MSG is also on my list now to avoid.

Good news is I am down to 175lbs, I was at 225lbs this time last year.

Fugger, glad to hear you have recovered from a very serious and scary condition... crazy that some fairly innocuous meds can have such an effect

Wishing you (and the XS community!) a positive 2018

I haven't visited in a while, but wow Charles. That is crazy that those OC meds did that. Scares the crap out of me too. My wife uses Zyrtec every day. It hardly does anything to her symptoms. I'm going to have to get her to a doctor (been trying for a while, but time is difficult to come by).

    Really glad you're doing better.

I've been gone for a long time but have just come back, mainly for the wealth of info and the community that you facilitated here during the golden era of overclocking, when I was just a kid. Thanks for putting up with me, F!

I'm shocked to hear you've been so unwell, but it's great that you've recovered and I hope that your health continues to improve. I'm glad you've managed to keep this site going for so long when so many others have failed, that is an achievement more impressive than any overclocking record. I'm sure XS will be back on top soon but your health is the most important thing!

Thanks I am doing a little better now, edema is under control as long I do not have too much sodium.

XS will stay alive, too much legacy info here to let go.
