[News] Shipping manifest hints at Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 10GB VRAM

    http://hexus.net/tech/news/graphics/...-ti-10gb-vram/

Is this the first solid evidence of the highly anticipated Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti making its way to the hands of eager gamers? Sometime last week a computer graphics card with 10GB of GDDR5 memory arrived from China and was noted by officials in Bangalore. The serial numbers, stored on Zauba (via VideoCardz) were pretty close to those from previously shipped GeForce GTX Titan X Pascal cards but with some key differences.

Several sites speculate about how many Streaming Multiprocessors and CUDA cores the GP102 in the 10GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will have activated. It's likely to be somewhere in between the Pascal GTX Titan X (3,584 CUDA cores) and the regular GTX 1080 (2,560 CUDA cores). That will position it comfortably for Nvidia, noticeably outperforming the GTX 1080 while not cannibalising its GTX Titan X sales.

Last but not least, a price of 68,276 Rupees is on the shipping manifest for customs purposes, which translates to roughly ?800, or US$1,000. However, Zauba value indicators don't always correlate to market prices for various business reasons.

so that puts it with a traditional ROP/L2 ratio and not the lets only cut off some shaders only instead of modules and no 970 stupidity?

given the value of the gp 102 full chips i would bet this guy has less net cost than the 1080 with a full 104 and gddr5x.

they would just have 20 units (or 10 units i forgot how many shaders per unit.) the way NV works they link the ROPs and l2 to the memory then the shaders pull from that. in cards like the titan X pascal and 980ti they keep some of that intact so they get a wider buss. the way this chip looks they would go back to the old way. like the 8800gtx had 24 units and a 384 bit buss, the gts has 20 units on a 320bit buss. with those cards you had 16bits of memory interface on each unit then the inter buss connects it. this chip should be the same way and have a 320 bit buss on this instead of the 384bit the full chip has.
