Hey guyz, long time no see! Alot has changed around these parts. Anyway lets get to my problem:
Picked up a PowerColor Red Devil RX480 as an RMA replacement for a defective 390. Happy about the free-ish upgrade, but not happy about it's potential. Found out the power limit was locked @ 5%. Flashed to the "unlocked Bios" offered by PowerColor.
After swapping out Tim's, figured I'd like to see what it's got under the hood.
Stock is 1330 core / 2000 mem.
Tried a modest clock of 1350/2200 with stock voltage and was greeted by a blackscreen.
Raise powerlimit to 25% and try again with same results. Raise voltage 25%, still nogo
Raise powerlimit to 50% and raise voltage to 25% and finally was able to boot to desktop
Tried Firestrike and this time was greeted by a white screen.
Temps kept in check with fanspeed @ 75%.
Unsure what to think about this card.
